If you’re on your toes this month, you can take advantage of some lucrative business opportunities. Both of your financial rulers (Venus and Pluto) are moving through your career sector now, and both are very well aspected. Saturn is also favorably posited in your 8th house — the sector related to joint resources and other people’s money. You’ll want to strike while the iron is hot, but you’ll also need to exercise discipline (Saturn). The New Moon falls in your 9th house on the 2nd, followed by Mercury on the 4th. This area relates to travel, philosophy, higher education, spirituality, etc. In other words, all those things that take you out of automatic pilot. Thinking about going home for the holidays? Signing up for college courses? Embarking on a spiritual journey? Any one of these works. What might not work for you though is your love life. With Venus and Mars both afflicted now, you may feel like you’re taking one step forward and two steps back. If you want to avoid problems, you’ll have to treat your relationship with kid gloves.
Moon in Aries: December 10, 11 and 12
Relationships take center stage for you this month. Now that Saturn is moving forward through your relationship sector again — and with the North Node there for another 2-1/2 months, you’ll have opportunities to bridge the gap between past and present in all of your relationships. This includes your relationships with family members — parents, children, siblings, in-laws, etc.– as well as intimate partners. Your ruling planet (Venus) is moving through your 9th house — the area associated with long distance travel and foreign affairs. It moves forward for the first half of the month and then turns retrograde on the 21st, prompting you to reassess those connections. Long distance relationships are particularly vulnerable to this transit. You may feel pressured to make a decision about whether to move forward or to put things to rest. If you’re far away from home yourself, you could be feeling dejected or homesick. It’s all about confronting the challenges associated with imperfect relationships. But don’t let yourself sink into despair. You have all the tools needed to fix things right at your fingertips.
Moon in Taurus: December 12, 13, 14 and 15
You’ve got lots to look forward to this month in the romance department. For starters, the New Moon takes place in your relationship sector on the 2nd, followed by your ruler (Mercury) the 4th. This should open up the lines of communications between you and a loved one — from playful flirtations to serious discussions, and everything in between. You may feel the urge to define things or express your feelings to a partner. This can only be a good thing, right? Wrong! A premature declaration (thanks to Mars in your romance sector) can translate to others as pressure. Be sure you know where you’re going before you act. Your relationship ruler (Jupiter) is retrograde now and moving through your 3rd house. This reinforces the need to communicate and to do so with honesty and sincerity. But this doesn’t mean you need to say everything that pops into your head. This retrograde gives you a chance to right some past wrongs and ask those you’ve hurt for forgiveness. The Full Moon in your sign (on the 17th) is the perfect time to do that.
Moon in Gemini: December 15, 16 and 17 (Full Moon)
Your focus this month will be on typical “Cancer” things, such as home, family, children and intimate relationships. If you’re not heading home for the holidays you may be hosting family members in your own home this year. There’s a strong theme of nostalgia and reminiscing about the past, with Jupiter retrograding through your sign now. You may be longing for simpler times, the “old days,” and people who were important in your childhood. You could also be creating new memories and holiday traditions for your own children during this time. Go easy on yourself and others though — don’t let yourself get caught up in trying so hard to make things perfect that you lose sight of the original goal. Mars will be moving through your 4th house (the area associated with home and family) for the better part of the month. This can manifest as a lot of activity around the home, holiday hustle and bustle, etc. It can also manifest as tension, frustration and agitation so curb all that and work on keeping your energy upbeat and festive.
Moon in Cancer: December 17, 18, 19 and 20
You’ve been thinking about your past, your childhood and your parental relationships. This may be in the context of your interactions with your own children — wanting to carry on certain traditions or wanting to make sure you don’t repeat the same mistakes. Either way, there’s an element of “rewriting history” in a more favorable light. You’re becoming more aware of how much your reality is self-created — thanks to a combined 4th and 5th house emphasis. With Saturn and the Node moving through your 4th house, you’re looking back over your childhood issues and experiences. You may be reliving painful memories or recalling them for the very first time. But with the Sun, Moon and Mercury moving through your the 5th, you can see how what you do with those memories is largely in your own hands. By the last week of the month you’ll have four planets in your 6th house. Your focus shifts to work — but not in the traditional sense. This is more about self-actualization and self improvement, as in preparing to unveil a new “You.”
Moon in Leo: December 20, 21 and 22
This month you may feel like you’re a jack of all trades and master of none. This isn’t because you’re not good at whatever you put your mind to. It’s because you’re such a perfectionist and so prone to seeing room for improvement that it’s hard to think of yourself as a “master” of anything. With a lineup of planets stretched across your 3rd and 4th houses, you’re likely to spending lots of time around the house over the holidays, though not for the purposes of rest and relaxation. You’re more likely to be puttering and tinkering and fixing things around the house — putting the finishing touches on old projects and creating some new ones. The Full Moon on the 17th takes place in your career sector, further emphasizing your focus on “work.” A promotion or career recognition is indicated. Four planets will have moved into your romance sector by the end of the month: if you know what’s good for you, you”ll leave your work at the office and devote some quality time to loved ones from that point forward.
Moon in Virgo: December 22, 23, 24, 25
You’ve heard of the past coming back to haunt you right? Chances are good you’re going to see that in action this month. Your ruler (Venus) is turning retrograde later in the month (on the 21st) and your relationship ruler (Mars) is moving through your sign for the better part of the month. Complications tend to arise under these transits, especially as the Venus Rx brings opportunities to take care of unfinished business. This is understandably not always ideal. For example, if you’re already in an established relationship (or if the old flame you find yourself fantasizing about is otherwise engaged), things can get tricky. Uranus — the planet associated with change and upheaval, is moving through your relationship sector and will station there on the 17th. Relationships can become very volatile during that time. Uranus is also associated with “breakups” due to its sudden and changeable nature. For this reason you want to consider the repercussions of your actions before you act — whether those relate to past relationships or those you’re involved in now.
Moon in Libra: December 25, 26 and 27
You may be feeling more vulnerable this month than usual, with several planets below the horizon as well as 4 planets moving through your sign. These are very personal and intimate areas that are hidden from the public eye. But this doesn’t mean nothing’s happening: there are intense psychological changes going on behind the scenes whether others are aware of them or not. Your intuition is particularly heightened between the 6th through the 10th, so pay attention to your dreams during this time. These transits can take a lot out of you as they heighten sensitivity and can have you feeling like running for cover. But they also strengthen your connections to those you’re emotionally in sync with. Your ruler is in mutual reception with Pluto and your relationship ruler (Venus) goes retrograde on the 21st. Relationships may take on a heavier, “all-or-nothing” vibration during this time. A lover from the past may reach out or you may feel the compelled to reconnect with someone yourself. This can be a tremendously cathartic experience, whether it leads to anything or not.
Moon in Scorpio: December 1, 2, 27, 28, and 29
The New Moon takes place in your sign this month (on the 2nd) almost exactly conjunct the fixed star Antares. Antares is one of the four “royal stars” and is associated with Jupiter and Mars. It can bestow great honor and grace when used properly — and dishonor and disgrace when not. Fortunately for you, your ruler is exalted in Cancer now and is in mutual reception with that New Moon. You’ll be on the road to meeting your true potential, as long as you take the high road. Don’t be tempted to cut corners during this time: your success depends on honesty, decency and integrity. Your love life heats up around the 17th with a full Moon in your relationship sector and a Uranus station in your romance sector. This is an intense transit that can be loads of fun (as in passion, ardor, fireworks, etc.). New relationships get a jump start and established ones get recharged. Keep your cool though between the 25th and 31st — as those fireworks can become explosive during this time.
Moon in Sagittarius: December 2 (New Moon), 3, 4, 29, 30, 31.
You’re going to be given opportunities to right some wrongs this month, particularly with respect to past relationships. With several planets moving through your sign, and with Venus with retrograding there this month too (on the 21st), you’ll have time to clear up some misunderstandings and iron out some expectations that may not have been followed through on. This is not about your being vindicated for someone else’s transgressions. It’s about you making amends and asking those you’ve hurt for forgiveness. This is a good time to heal any rifts that have developed in your current relationship as well. Your ruler has been in mutual reception with Pluto for some time. But one or the other of these planets has been retrograde — until now. With both of them finally moving forward, you can make great strides toward putting the past to rest. The relationship that most needs healed now is the one you have with yourself. Although that is always going to be a work in progress, at the very least you’ll be starting off with a clean slate.
Moon in Capricorn: December 4, 5, 6 and 31
You may be still flying high from a powerhouse of planetary influences that have been moving through your career sector for the past few months. If you’re not (or not seeing the results of your efforts just yet) don’t give up: your transits are “moving up” in your chart and should be a reflection or your “moving up” in the world. This is likely to be a process more than an event, so don’t expect some lightning bolt occurrence out of the blue. But with four planets in your 10th house — the area associated with career, reputation and professional standing at the start of the month, you should have plenty of opportunities to stake your professional claims. Your ruler (Uranus) has been retrograde for several months, but turns direct on the 17th — the same day as the full Moon. Although there are some tense aspects involving Uranus the last few days of the month (which you may want to just lay low to avoid) everything else says “onward and upward.” The sky is the limit for you from here on out.
Moon in Aquarius: December 6, 7 and 8
Be careful what you wish for in the romance department this month as you’re likely to do a complete about-face by the end of the month. With several planets lined up in social/ romance / relationship sectors (including both of your rulers, Jupiter and Neptune), it may be difficult for you to focus on anything else. Prospective partners make an appearance as early as the 7th/8th when Mars moves into your 8th house and the Moon joins Neptune in your sign. These are extremely compel-ling aspects which can lead to passion and seduction but can also cause you to ignore certain signs. Whether they bring in new lovers or just pump up the volume on existing connections, there’s danger of things falling apart later in the month. Mercury (your relationship ruler) is debilitated by sign and Jupiter is retrograde in your romance sector. Venus will also retrograde this month (on the 21st). A lover (or someone with whom you have unfinished business) may resurface unexpectedly. See it for what it is — a chance to tie up lose ends — and you’ll go a long ways toward healing.
