The World

The World

Are you ready to turn over a new leaf? Put the past behind you and turn your life around?

As we come to the end of 2015, you may be thinking about what you want to do differently as you move ahead into the New Year.

The World card — the version from the amazing Rabbit Tarot — is all about coming full circle, closing the door on one chapter in your life and preparing to open another.

It represents a time when you can get a clear overview of what you’ve accomplished and gain a fresh perspective.

What do have you accomplished this year that has not only worked for you but has worked so well that you want to carry it forward into the new year? And what would you rather leave behind, knowing it either just wasn’t working or is no longer conducive to your growth?

These are the questions you want to be asking yourself today — along with “What changes can I make in the new year and what resolutions am I willing to commit to?”

The World card is a card of both fulfillment and completion. With that in mind, it’s time to put the finishing touches on projects that are almost finished, and also time to rest anything that just didn’t pan out for you. You’re preparing to start a whole new journey, and in doing so will want to with as clean a slate as possible.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 30, 2015 — Page of Wands

Page of Wands

Page of Wands

As Venus moves into Sagittarius today you may be feeling more inspired to put yourself out there and express the skills and ideas you’re most passionate about.

This is a dynamic and creative placement, with the planet that rules love, beauty, art and creativity moving through the sign that’s associated with personal expansion and expression.

Venus in Sagittarius is all about feeling inspired. To participate and experience life in its most vibrant, colorful form. To grow, evolve and learn. And to pass what you’ve learned onto others.

It’s about sharing knowledge and ideas, motivating yourself and others through the exchange of information. The Page of Wands — this version from the Shadowscapes Tarot — illustrates this energy beautifully. The woodland creatures and the tiny fairies that surround her are so enthralled by the music that they hear that they’re drawn to it is source.

The fairy maiden stands in a clearing oblivious to her surroundings and plays her instrument with reckless abandon. You can see that she’s completely in her zone.

This is the essence of the Page (or Princess) of Wands. She can motivate and inspire you in your own life too. Ask yourself in what areas have you been too timid or uncertain, and how might incorporating some of her passion and bravery into your own life work to your advantage? Use this time to tap into your creative potential and save the business of accomplishing something big for another day.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 29, 2015 — The Sacrifice

The Sacrifice

Today transits may see you looking back over the year and thinking about purging whatever has not served you well as you surrender to a greater power.

With Mercury squaring Mars today and the Sun also sextiling Neptune, you may be feeling torn between the part of you that wants to hold on for dear life and the part of you that recognizes it’s time to throw in the towel.

The Sacrifice card is the Tarot of the Origins version of the Hanged Man. This beautiful card illustrates the act of surrender that is traditionally associated with the Hanged Man.

The vibrant reds and oranges in this card may symbolize anger and fear (think Mercury in Capricorn square Mars in Libra). And the arrow-head pointing down from the heavens suggests that the figure in this card doesn’t have much choice in the matter.

But his posture says he’s not only open to the process, he’s ready and willing to embrace it.

The Hanged Man represents sacrifice and surrender. Obstacles and delays. And the Universe saying “no,” “wait” and “let it go.”

As the year 2015 comes to a close, you may be more prepared than ever to let go of what is just not working for you.

You may be doing a personal inventory and taking the time to look back and see what changes need to be made. In order to this you may need to put things on hold — at least long enough to assess the damages and formulate a plan for the future.

The Sacrifice card is all about surrender. Letting go and letting God. Holding back from trying to change the natural course of things because your own input could (and would) interfere with their development. And figuring out what you want to do differently in the year ahead.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 28, 2015 — Nine of Cups

Nine of Cups

Nine of Cups

Mercury trines the North Node today and sextiles the South Node. This transit is all about making meaningful connections — with the people that you love as well as with yourself.

Think about what makes you truly happy and chances are good it’s the simple things in life. Home, family, friends, health, material comforts and peace of mind. If you’re not where you want to be just yet, think of ways to change that.

The Nine of Cups — this version from the Star Tarot — is about manifesting your heart’s desires. Nothing is taken for granted and nothing is left to chance. It’s about aligning yourself with the Universal laws of attraction and getting what you deserve.

The Cups in this card are all overflowing. They’re filled with love, gratitude and abundance, which are endlessly intertwined. They’re filled with hopes, dreams and miracles which are yours for the taking.

The Nine of Cups is a card of satisfaction, fulfillment and contentment. It speaks of being more than just satisfied with your lot in life, but also feeling truly blessed and grateful with where you are.

This card is called “Happiness” in some decks and the “Wish card” in others. But those aren’t always the same thing. So be careful what you wish for as it may or may not bring you happiness.

Take some time to think about what you really want today — and don’t forget to be grateful for what you already have. There’s an intricate balance between gratitude and personal fulfillment, so make sure you’re putting enough energy and effort into both.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 27, 2015 — Hummingbird

hummingbird

Hummingbird

Today you may be feeling more sociable than you have in recent days. While it may not be exactly a popularity contest, you’re bound to be seen as someone that people want to know and get close to.

At the same time you could have so many opportunities that it’s hard to spend too much time focusing on any one relationship or connection. Like the Hummingbird in this card you might find yourself flitting from one social engagement to another.

The Hummingbird — or Six of Branches — is the Animal Wisdom Tarot’s version of the Six of Wands. It’s known as the Victory card in many decks and can very well manifest for you as some sort of professional recognition.

You may be feeling like you’re on the road to success. And whether it happens now or it happens for you months down the road, remember that it’s always a process and not an event.

As colorful and vibrant as the Hummingbird and flowers are in the foreground of this card, you almost don’t notice the fireworks in the background. It tells you that there’s cause for celebration and you might as well enjoy it.

Don’t shy away from celebrating your achievements with others. Even if it feels premature at this stage know that you’re well on your way and that the fun doesn’t have to stop once you reach your goals. Embrace the accolades that are coming your way as confirmation that you’ve earned and deserve them. And don’t forget to thank those who’ve helped you along the way.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 26, 2015 — King of Swords

King of Swords

King of Swords

Today, as Uranus turns direct in Aries, you should be feeling more like shaking things up and breaking new ground in all the different areas of your life.

This transit can represent as an innovative and electrifying change in direction, but it can also manifest as  an abrupt and unsettling wakeup call.

The King of Swords — this version from the fabulous Gypsy Palace Tarot —  is a powerful and masterful king. He’s progressive and forward thinking and even a little eccentric. Just like Uranus in Aries.

He is intelligent, inventive and accomplished. He’s innovative and progressive. And he’s an expert at communicating his ideas and getting people to listen.

This is a time for putting your ideas out there — verbally or in writing — and communicating them to others. It’s not the time for ambivalence or uncertainty.

Look at the King in this card. He’s a bit more colorful and flamboyant than we’re using to seeing with the King of Swords. He’s usually rather stoic and somber.

But this whimsical version is just spirited enough to capture the dynamic and playful Uranus in Aries transit we’re dealing with and just dignified enough to capture the essence of planets moving through Capricorn right now.

This King says you can have the best of both worlds. It doesn’t have to be all work and no play. And you won’t get anywhere if it’s all play and no work. Think about putting your own unique and creative spin on whatever you’re trying today. You can expect good things if put yourself out there, and if you play your cards right you can do it without having to sacrifice any of your own personal flair.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 25, 2015 — The World

The World

Today’s card — The World from the beautiful Christmas Tarot — is all about looking at the bigger picture and tracing the steps that have led you to where you are today.

It’s a card of fulfillment and completion; recognizing milestones that have passed and goals that have been achieved as you prepare to close the door on one chapter in your life and open another.

You may be setting new goals in place or you may be taking some time to celebrate how far you’ve come. You may be also thinking about the year ahead and the changes you want to set in motion.

As the last card in the tarot, the World complete’s the Fool’s journey, with the understanding that he’s grown, evolved and matured along the way.

This card can also have you thinking about where you fit in in the world and about your contributions to humanity. It speaks of not only realizing your dreams and achieving your goals, but also becoming one with the Universe, fulfilled and complete.

Mercury trines Jupiter today, and we’re also being graced by a Full Cancer Moon. These transits remind us that we’re all in charge of our own destinies and that we all create our own luck. The Mercury / Jupiter aspect is also generous and benevolent, in keeping with the Christmas spirit.

Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, the message behind this card is one of coming full circle and seeing the bigger picture. Whether you’re taking some time to relish the satisfaction of having achieved something, or are ready to dive back in and start again, the message behind the world card is best received with insight and awareness.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 24, 2015 — Four of Wands

Four of Wands

Four of Wands

Today’s Venus / Jupiter sextile can bring out the kindness, warmth, graciousness and congeniality in all of us as we move into the final days of the year.

No matter where you are in the world today, you may feel like Spring is in the air, as this transit moves in like a breath of fresh air. This is a gentle, easy-going transit that brings feelings of benevolence and goodwill to the forefront.

Today’s card — the Four of Wands from the Samurai Tarot — is all about reflecting on accomplishments and looking forward to where those accomplishments may lead. It speaks of rejoicing and celebrating — whether this means planning for a party or special event, or getting yourself out of the doldrums and washing away the blues.

The Four of Wands takes the “dream big” energy that came with the Three of Wands and turns it into something tangible, solid and lasting. It represents a joyous celebration: a marriage, a promotion, the birth of a child.

It tells you that “this is only the beginning” of something you’ve already established and that it’s going to just keep getting better and better.

You may be planning a special event — one which will be way more fun than you are anticipating. You are likely to meet people, have fun, put your worries aside and focus instead on the promise of friendship, companionship and socializing.

No matter what else you’re up against today remember to be grateful for what you have. It’s not the time to isolate or withdraw from social opportunities. Look around you and take note of all you’ve accomplished thus far. Chances are good there’s a lot to be grateful for and a cause for celebration right there in front of you.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 23, 2015 — Three of Cups

Three of Cups

Three of Cups

Today is a good day to connect (or reconnect) with loved ones and focus on putting your differences aside.

The Three of Cups — this version from the wonderful Morgan Greer Tarot — is a joyful and festive card that emphasizes partying and celebrating over work and responsibilities. It also emphasizes friends and casual relationships over serious romantic entanglements.

It refers to being surrounded by like-minded people and putting your differences aside. It’s about coming together and joining forces with those who have your best interests at heart.

The focus is on merriment and gaiety rather than monotony and drudgery. It’s on interacting and networking with others, allowing you to push aside some of your more serious concerns — at least for the time being.

It represents people gathering together to connect, interact and socialize. It’s a happy, joyful energy that can manifest as a party or celebration, or it could be as simple as a girls’ night out. There’s a strong sisterhood vibe to this card — as well as most other versions of the Three of Cups — too.

Pay attention to new people coming into your life too. You could find yourself developing friendships with people that seem random at first but can turn into important connections over time.

No matter where the people in your life have come from today — no matter what your connection or history or relationship with them is — the Three of Cups is a card of companionship and camaraderie. It serves as a reminder that there’s always something to be grateful for, and always someone to share your gratitude with.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 22, 2015 — The Emperor

Emperor

The Emperor

As the Sun moves into Capricorn today and the Taurus Moon trines Mercury and then Jupiter, you may be thinking more about taking charge of your life and achieving your goals and ambitions.

This is the Ceccoli Tarot’s version of the Emperor, in this case a mini Napoleon Bonaparte sitting on a rocking horse.

The room he sits in may be small, but he casts an imposing figure nevertheless, sitting there amongst the various discarded toys and sundries.

You may be asking yourself today whether you want to be a small fish in a big pond or a big fish in a small pond. It’s all about gaining perspective and establishing priorities.

This card symbolizes worldly acclaim and ambition. No matter how high you want to climb, you can know that there are possibilities available to you if you only you set your sights on pursuing them.

As the Emperor also relates to the Laws of the Land, some of the less pleasant manifestations of this card include being on the receiving end of legal or professional disciplinary actions, dealings with the IRS or government, or having to deal with an oppressive boss or coworker.

Hard work, perseverance and determination are all required: nothing will come to you through sheer luck or wishful thinking.

The message behind this card is one of taking care of business. It’s not the time to be passive or wishy-washy. It’s all about stepping up and taking control of a situation that requires a firm hand and authoritative presence.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 21, 2015 — The Sun

The Sun

The Sun

Today you want to focus on what’s right in your world rather than what might be wrong. The Sun card is all about happiness, optimism and vitality: it’s about being present in the moment and celebrating being alive.

Look around you and take notice of the blessings that surround you. Step away — at least mentally — and turn your attention away from work and mundane affairs long enough to soak in the energizing rays of the Sun.

The Sun card — this version from the Crystal Visions Tarot — represents energy and vitality. Feeling happy to be alive. Getting in touch with your inner child, your true authentic spirit, the part of you that longs to embrace life with ever fiber of your being.

When we think of the Sun, we think of warmth, light and life. It warms our spirits as well as our bodies; it brightens our moods as well as the outside world, and it brings life to our dreams and goals as well as to every living thing on the planet.

The Sun card in the Tarot is much the same way. It refers to the wonder and glory of being alive. Of feeling warm, confident, radiant and spirited. Its attitude is that “everything is as it should be” today, for you and all around you.

The Sun reflects your own inner light and inspires you to let it shine. It encourages you to say yes to life rather than letting your troubles hold you back. It tells you to turn your face to the Sun rather rather than looking back over your shoulder toward whatever caused you to dim your light in the first place.

The Sun card is all about optimism, enthusiasm and personal radiance. It’s about being yourself and allowing yourself to “shine,” without any pretense or constraint. Today may be the shortest day in the year (for those in the Northern Hemisphere) but the Sun is still shines. We may not always see it but it’s always there — and serves as a reminder of the warmth and vitality that each of us possess
