Tarot of the Zirkus Mägi -- Two of Buckets

ARIES: Two of Buckets

Your focus this month is going to be on love, romance and relationships. The Two of Buckets is the Tarot of the Zirkus Mägi’s version of the Two of Cups. It’s called “Love” in some versions and “Harmony” in this one.

It speaks of finding your soul mate, your better half, your “one true love.” It’s the card associated with male / female, yin / yang energy and the concept of opposites attracting.

It’s about a love so perfect that the two become one, making it nearly impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins. But true love takes on many forms. And it’s often marred by things like fear, jealousy, tension, uncertainty and sex.

And here we see none of these. We see a bond that’s so intimate and affectionate between a young child and her elephant friend. She leans in with a loving embrace and he responds as only an elephant friend would. He sits there patiently and contentedly, with his own offering of love in his trunk.

Jupiter is now in your relationship house, asserting a renewed sense of romantic idealism, as well as an openness to finding the sort of love that belies status quo expectations.

The New Moon also having taken place in this sector promotes the ideal of “self-love.” And what better way to manifest that energy than to see it mirrored back to you in its purest form?

If you’re thinking about diving back into the relationship arena this month, you’d do well to take a leaf from this unlikely pair’s book. Whether you’re in an established relationship now or just looking, holding yourself up to this kind of ideal can only benefit you in the end.

Rebirth

ARIES: Rebirth

This month you should be presented with opportunities to look back over the strides you’ve made and the challenges you’ve faced in recent months as you begin a brand new cycle.

The young child in this card stands at the doorway between past and present. He still has an opportunity to look back behind him and clear up any unfinished business. But he has that same opportunity to venture forward and face a brand new world.

This is the Druid Craft Tarot’s version of the Judgment card. It’s the endless human journey that we sometimes refer to as “karma.” We reap and sew with each thought, action, and decision.

This card calls for self-evaluation and awareness, a need to develop enough spiritual altitude to look objectively at your mistakes and short-comings as well as your triumphs and victories.

It is a powerful reminder that in order to put the past behind us we must not only let go of prior judgments but heal the wounds that have been holding us back. It’s a card of both atonement and forgiveness. Of unconditional love, understanding and acceptance — for both ourselves and for those who’ve hurt us or let us down.

This card represents a summation of all that has come before, and an awareness that each step taken — from here on out — leaves an indelible imprint on our future. It represents a calling — a spiritual call to action, where the past meets the present and beckons you toward the future.

Black Tortoise Seven

ARIES: Black Tortoise Seven

There may be times this month where you find yourself up against what seems like an insurmountable obstacle that you’re going to have to use discipline, strategy and cunning to see yourself through.

This is the Feng Shui Tarot’s version of the Seven of Wands. It focuses more on the barriers that stand in your way than on the conflict and combativeness that’s usually associated with this card.

The Black Tortoise in this card gazes through the rungs of a locked gate at a mountain range in the distance. He may be longing to escape, or he may be pausing to consider more creative solutions to crossing over to the other side.

But it’s all a matter of perspective. Is he really locked out? Or is he safe in the confines of his own kingdom, protected from the turbulent storm clouds that are brewing in the distance.

The Seven of Wands requires you to look at your situation from all sides and figuring out the best course of action.

There is a “hold your ground” element to this card which is in keeping with the traditional Seven of Wands. But rather than fighting off someone trying to unseat you, you may be fighting off your own urges to see the grass as greener on the other side.

Think about what’s been obstructing you in your own quest to reach your goals. As there’s an expanse of water (emotions) between the gated ledge and the mountains across the way, there’s more than likely an emotional component at work here.

You may have to explore uncomfortable feelings or conquer hidden fears. Whatever it is, know that you do have the tools at your disposal. The Black Tortoise Seven requires you to consider solutions that might not be readily available as you plan your next move.

Polar Bear

ARIES: Polar Bear

This month is going to be all about getting in touch with your environment and getting clarity with respect to your emotions.

Where do you fit in and where do you feel most at home? These are questions you’ll be asking yourself this month, courtesy of the Polar Bear — or Seeker of Shells (Knight of Cups) — animal totem.

The Polar Bear is not only completely at home in this version of the card — from the Animal Wisdom Tarot — but he’s adapted beautifully to his environment. He’s strong and competent, yet light-footed enough to trek comfortably through terrain that could be hostile to others.

Notice the crystals that are forming on the snow, the ice and in the sky above. There are symbols of clarity throughout the imagery of this card, and even glistening on the Polar Bear’s fur.

The Aurora Borealis overhead and the glowing conch shell at the base are reminiscent of glistening jewels, as is the glittering crystal backdrop and the vibrant array of colors that wash over the scene. The Seeker of Shells is a virtual rainbow of emotional expression and experience.

Think about ways that you can translate what you’re feeling this month into experiences that can be shared with your loved ones. With several planets moving through the sector related to home and family, this is a good place to start.

Your environment — that place you’re most comfortable and where you feel most complete — comes to life as you devote yourself to fostering your relationships therein.

Two of Cups

Two of Cups

With Venus and Mars conjunct today and rising together in the early morning sky, love is in the air for all of us.

Whether you’re in an established relationship, starting something new, or just out there looking, now is the time to let someone you care about know it.

The Two of Cups is all about falling in love — either opening yourself up to new experiences or reigniting a connection with someone you’re already involved with.

It’s this process of falling in love that reveals to us ourselves at our very best. It’s where we put our best version of ourselves forward and the Universe responds by opening up unanticipated doors.

The Two of Cups is known as the “Love” card as it refers to that love at first sight sense of finding your other half. It’s a marriage or union of opposites, as seen in this version of the card from the Arcus Arcanum Tarot.

It’s the mutual attraction card, the “soul mate” card, and so much more. It’s the process of falling in love or renewing a love connection that replenishes itself over time.

There’s a synergy that pulls two people together and echoes their feelings back to one another. In this respect the Two of Cups is more about falling in love with yourself, as seen through your loved one’s eyes.

If you meet someone new today consider it an opportunity for growth. It could be the yin to your yang — or it could just be a friend who shows you the true meaning of the word. You may also be working on revamping your current connection or reuniting with a loved one. Whichever it is, be grateful for the opportunity to see yourself through someone else’s eyes.

Two of Water

Two of Water

Today is a good day to reach out to someone who needs a helping hand and show them how much you care.

The Two of Water is the Vision Quest Tarot’s version of the Two of Cups, a card most often associated with a mutual attraction, love at first sight and the initial stages of falling in love. It’s called “Love” in this deck and the hands that are joined together — one male and one female — are reminiscent of that very ideal.

In addition to the pair of hands, there are two flowing streams and two sets of vines, both of which join together to become one. Bonds are created throughout the imagery in this card, all merging together in perfect harmony.

The Two of Water seems to be as much about coming together and supporting one another as it does the romanticized idyllic version of love. And we know that love takes on many forms and is experienced in a multitude of ways.

It’s the process of falling in love that reveals to us  ourselves at our very best. It’s where we put our best version of ourselves forward and the Universe responds by opening up unanticipated doors.

The Two of Water can refer to that love at first sight sense of finding your other half. It’s the mutual attraction card, the soulmate card, and so much more. It’s the process of falling in love or renewing a love connection that replenishes itself over time.

Two of Cups

With Mars and Venus coming together today in Leo, the emphasis is on the romantic, creative and expressive aspects of falling in Love.

But as these two planets are moving in opposite directions — Mars moving forward and Venus moving backwards (retrograde) it reminds you that in order to do so you must first learn to love yourself.

This version of the Two of Cups — from the stunning Ceccoli Tarot — illustrates this concept beautifully, with the two figures (identical twins) as exact mirror images of one another.

Whether you’re in a relationship or just looking, the Two of Cups is all about falling in love — either opening yourself up to new experiences or reigniting a connection with someone you’re already involved with.

It’s this process of falling in love that reveals to us — in perfect clarity — ourselves at our very best. It’s where we put our best version of ourselves forward and the Universe responds by opening up unanticipated doors.

July 2015 Tarot Scopes by Chrisalis

Three of Pentacles

ARIES: Three of Pentacles

July is a good month to join heads with like-minded people in the spirit of community and cooperation. The Three of Pentacles — this version from the Cheimonette Tarot — is all about team-work, group efforts and collaboration. It’s a reminder that two (3 or 4) heads are better than one and that none of us can achieve alone what we can achieve with others.

Although many aspects of this card emphasize friendship and celebration, this one focuses more on integrating the disparate parts of self. Body, Mind and Spirit come to mind. The Three Pentacles in this version contain a Sun Face, an Eye and a panoramic scene with yogi and horse figures.

The disks are all interconnected with the Sun disk shining a little brighter over the other two. A crescent moon with another eye rests below the three disks. In addition to teamwork and collaboration, the Three of Pentacles also speaks of hitting your stride and seeing the initial results of something you’ve been working hard on.

It speaks of breathing new life into a project or finding the “key” to something that has been puzzling you and holding you back. The Three of Pentacles — like all threes — refers to the initial stages of progress where you’ve taken an idea (the Ace), put it into production (the Two) and are making progress now toward creating something real (the Three).

Two of Cups

Venus enters Gemini today and brings with it opportunities for you to connect with your “other half.”

There’s a synergy that pulls two people together and echoes their feelings back to one another. In this respect the Two of Cups is more about falling in love with yourself, as seen through your partner’s eyes.

In this version of the card — from the beautiful Sun and Moon Tarot — a young couple sit in a giant lotus blossom and share a loving embrace under the light of the full Moon. A portion of their images are reflected below them in the surface of a tranquil pool.

The Two of Cups often refers to a brand new relationship — one that hasn’t fully gotten off the ground. It’s more about falling in love than it is being in love. It’s more that heady state of limerence than the settled state of long-term relationships. Whether it can stand the test of time is still up in the air. But established relationships can also use a reminder of what it was like to fall in love.

Nine of Pentacles

ARIES: Nine of Pentacles

The Nine of Pentacles implies success and satisfaction with career and financial matters. However, take a closer look at the imagery in this particular card and you may find that all is not as it seems. I’m not saying you should not feel more than a bit smug with your achievements but you may find you have an “itch” to try something different.

Do you find thoughts keep coming into your mind that you want to change something? Perhaps your job, your beliefs on success and what it personally means to you? If you look at this card you will see 6 pentacles are on one side (left hand side) and 3 pentacles on the other (right hand side).

Take a sneaky look on the ground under the 6 pentacles — this version from the Golden Universal Tarot — and you will see a snail so perhaps the accumulation of your wealth, knowledge and security is actually making you feel as if your life is moving at a slower pace (a snail’s pace).

Now look at the side of the card with the 3 pentacles and you’ll notice an almost mirrored version of the lefthand side… the difference being there is less on the right hand side (3 pentacles) which implies if you make a decision to go in a different direction you will have less in some ways but you may actually gain in other ways.

Perhaps the biggest indicator in this imagery that speaks out but is easily overlooked is the direction of the foot on the ground… the little bird whispers in your ear to make a change and almost without knowing it you are turning your foot to begin a new direction in your life.

And now here is a conundrum for you… I have not given out which foot I am interpreting as being the one that is “changing directions”… that part of the equation is up to you…. listen with your heart for the answers.

Two of Cups

Two of Cups

Today’s Venus / Mars conjunction may see you bonding intimately with another.

The Two of Cups speaks of falling in love, finding your other half, and connecting with another on such a powerful level that the two become one.

It’s not always a love connection. It can refer to a close friendship, business partnership, or some other deep bond. It refers to the “sum of the parts being greater than the whole,” which reminds us that two heads (and hearts) are better than one.

In the context of romance though, this is a very loving and romantic card. This version — from Jennifer Galasso’s ethereal Crystal Visions Tarot — is about as romantic as you can get. In it, a pair of star-struck lovers bathe in a shimmering lotus pool under the light of a full moon.

There’s a sacred connection here, a blending of energies with the pouring of an essence from one cup to another and the tiny faerie that rises in the mist and bestows her blessings on the couple below.

This is the essence of the Two of Cups. It’s not just relating to another romantically, but also sharing, merging and uniting in love. The Venus / Mars conjunction in Aries increases your libido, sexual magnetism and physical chemistry.

It can also relate to finding your “soul-mate” or your other half. It brings with it the ability to see yourself through someone else’s eyes (and heart). In this respect it’s about falling in love with yourself — at your very best.

If you’re already involved in an established relationship, this card can relate to reinvigorating the love you felt upon first meeting. And if you’re not involved and just looking, it may very well be the time you find exactly what you’re looking for.

Like these two figures, you may find yourself on the verge of a passionate, all-consuming affair. It can be riveting and it can be intoxicating, and as long as you keep your wits about you, it can also be a life-altering experience.

Two of Cups

Two of Cups

Love and romance are in the air today — hopefully for you — courtesy of the Thoth deck’s version of the Two of Cups.

The Two of Cups is known as the “Love” card as it refers to that love at first sight sense of finding your other half. It’s the mutual attraction card, the “soul mate” card, and so much more. It’s the process of falling in love or renewing a love connection that replenishes itself over time.

In this version of the card, the astrological glyphs for Venus and Cancer feature prominently. And while Venus is currently in Pisces, the Piscean aspect is referenced here too.

The entwined fishes (symbol for Pisces) double as a set of living fountains that refill and replenish the lotus blossoms in an ongoing state of renewal.

Notice how the water that cycles between the fountains and lotus blossoms is diverted into two overflowing Cups. It’s a reminder that there is always more than enough — of feelings, emotions, affection, adoration and love.

Venus is exalted in Pisces, meaning that its influence in this sign is purer and more refined. It’s in aspect with Pluto today as well — bringing in harmonious (sextile) elements of passion and desire.

But the Two of Cups is not always a “love” connection. it can refer to a sisterhood, a business partnership, a parent/child relationship or some other deep bond. It refers to the “sum of the parts being greater than the whole” axiom, which reminds us that two heads (and hearts) are better than one.

You may meet someone new today or hear from a loved one across the miles. If so, see it as an opportunity for growth. It could be the yin to your yang — or it could just be a friend who shows you the true meaning of the word. Whichever it is, be grateful for the opportunity to express yourself and to spread the love around.
