Here is the Ask the Astrologers Astrology Forecast for the week of Dec 13 – Dec 19, 2015:
We start the week with a Capricorn Moon moving into a conjunction with Pluto on Sunday, which then moves into a t-square with Uranus and Mars. As Moon transits are fleeting this transit will probably only produce short-lived effects.
It can manifest as irrational outbursts or forceful emotional displays. You may find yourself dealing with a temperamental loved one, or you could encounter a few impatient, angry or aggressive motorists (or Holiday shoppers) if you choose to venture out.
Mercury sextiles Neptune on Monday and the Sun squares Jupiter. The sextile to Neptune is excellent for meditating, journaling, or any type of creative communications (songwriting, poetry, composing love letters, etc.) It’s also a highly sensitive aspect that favors getting in touch with your intuition and paying attention to your dreams.
The Sun / Jupiter square can manifest as feeling so expansive and gregarious that you end up biting off more than you can chew or promising more than you can deliver. The combination of enthusiasm and benevolence can get you thinking you can do more than you really can. And while your heart may be in the right place, your inability to follow through can get you into hot water.
This aspect is known for over-indulging, over-extending and over-committing. In other words overdoing everything.You may be feeling so jovial and so overconfident that you have a hard time reigning in it and exercising any real discipline.
The following days are relatively “transit-free” — aside from aspects to the Moon — a square to Venus on Tuesday and void of course on Wednesday for the better part of the day.
Any aspects involving the Moon are temporary are likely to fly by imperceptibly. But that doesn’t mean these two days will be uneventful. There are still always transits in play: planets interacting with one another and blending or communicating their unique energies.
On Thursday, Venus sextiles Pluto. This transit bring out the urge to merge in people, so don’t be surprised if a partner or love interest starts trying to get frisky with you. It’s an alluring, seductive aspect that is known for its sex appeal and rarely fails to deliver.
With the Moon and Neptune conjunct in Pisces that same day, romance, fantasy, imagination and illusion are all emphasized, so don’t be afraid to take advantage of the energy and spice up your love life.
Friday’s aspect — the Sun square the North and South Nodes — is referred to in classical astrology as “at the bendings.” In particular it’s at the North bending which is a highly visible placement. Pay attention to what you put out there — what face you show to the outer world, and how you represent yourself.
The Sun at the Node’s bendings sets up a natural t-square which can manifest as a sense of frustration over discrepancies between what you’re experiencing internally and the image you feel the need to portray.
This may be further complicated by the Mercury / Pluto conjunction on Saturday, which can increase your desire for privacy and see you playing things closer to the vest. One positive aspect of this transit — among many — is the urge to get to the bottom of things, leaving no stone unturned.
Venus also trines Chiron and inconjuncts Uranus on Saturday. Starting with the trine, this aspect may see you becoming more aware of your own capacity for giving and for being able to put yourself in other people’s shoes. This is a charitable aspect that compels you to reach into the very depths of your soul — where compassion, forgiveness and understanding all reside — and bring forth that which is within you in order to pass it onto others.
The inconjunct to Uranus may put a strain on your love life by pitting your need for freedom and independence against your desire to connect intimately with another. This aspect underscores the potential for missing (or misreading) important social cues. As with all inconjunct aspects, the key to rebalancing this energy is adjusting your own perceptions and adapting your own approach.
