Weekly Astro Forecast — June 12, 2016 – June 18, 2016

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of June 12, 2016 – June 18, 2016:

On Sunday, Mars trines Chiron and Venus sextiles Uranus. The Mars trine Chiron aspect is a gentle warrior aspect. It can manifest as a desire to stand up for those who are unable to stand up for themselves. it can also make it easier for us to see and acknowledge other people’s points of view. This is especially comforting, as Mars is also moving into an inconjunct with Uranus (exact next week but only one degree away right now), and this trine can soften some of that erratic Uranus energy.

Mars / Uranus may want to confront interpersonal differences where Mars / Chiron seeks to honor and embrace them. Think about which of these is going to better serve you down the road and then align yourself with that energy.

With respect to the Venus / Uranus sextile, this aspect can break up any of the crystallization that may have been forming in your relationships and can dismantle whatever roadblocks may be standing in your way. Venus/ Uranus is good at getting rid of the debris and clearing a path for you to achieve a more open and progressive expression of love.

Mercury moves into Gemini on Monday, just as Neptune turns retrograde. Mercury and Neptune are both dignified in their own signs, with each occupying the sign that they rule. But they also rule opposing signs, making when in some schools of thought “planetary pairs.”

Mercury in Gemini is curious, playful, clever and engaging. It’s interested in many things but is easily distracted and quick to lose interest. It’s quick-thinking but can also be tangential. It’s interested in gathering facts and information, even seemingly meaningless trivia. Mercury in Gemini is great for interacting with others, and for taking care of menial chores — in fact the more menial the chores the more opportunities there will be to do what Mercury in Gemini does best. Juggle several different things at once.

Neptune is at home in Pisces, and when it’s retrograde it can bring you one step closer to Nirvana. It opens up your psychic pathways and makes it easier for you access the collective unconscious. It is sensitive, compassionate, idealistic and altruistic. It can also be unrealistic and delusional.

Also on Monday, Venus square Chiron and inconjuncts Mars. the Venus / Mars aspect focused on personal relationships and the Sun / Saturn aspect focused on ambition and success. In both cases adjustments need to be made, as the inconjunct refers to uneasiness and discomfort. The Venus / Mars inconjunct encourages you to think about how much you’re giving (Venus) and how much you’re taking (Mars). Or rather how much you’re getting back in return. Hidden resentments will have to be addressed and you’ll have to figure out a way to bring these energies back into balance.

The Venus / Mars inconjunct encourages you to think about how much you’re giving (Venus) and how much you’re taking (Mars). Or rather how much you’re getting back in return. Hidden resentments will have to be addressed and you’ll have to figure out a way to bring these energies back into balance.

The Venus / Chiron square is more about challenges related to establishing clear boundaries and identifying personal values. You may struggle with figuring out what it is you really want and feeling deserving of it. This aspect can bring martyring tendencies to the surface. Causing you to regret or feel guilty about what would ordinarily make you feel good. And prompting you to make sacrifices that you’re likely to resent later on.

The Sun sextiles Uranus on Tuesday. The Sun / Chiron sextile is great for flying your freak flag in a socially acceptable way. If you think that’s an oxymoron, consider that the Sun is tied to your life force, will and self-expression, while Uranus is tied to thinking outside the box. It is associated with being progressive and innovative, as well as broadening your range. This aspect encourages you to march to the beat of your own drum and express your own unique individuality in ways that inspire rather than shock.

On Wednesday, the Sun inconjuncts Mars and squares Chiron. The Sun / Mars inconjunct is tricky. It describes a need to remedy an imbalance between the desire for self-actualization (the Sun) and the impulse to follow your urges, whether they are in your best interests or not. This configuration is compounded by the fact that Mars is retrograde, so pay attention your urges during this time and think about whether they are going to benefit you or will lead to something you may later regret.

With the Sun in Gemini and Mars retrograde in Scorpio, you may find it hard to satisfy both inclinations. But the main thing that these two archetypes have in common is great curiosity and a desire to be in the know “know.” So use this transit for strategizing, investigating, and doing behind-the-scenes research.

The square to Chiron can create a need to remedy an imbalance between the desire for self-actualization (the Sun) and the urge for self-sacrifice (Chiron). Heading up a volunteer program or taking part in something meaningful in community are good ways to actualize this transit.

Venus moves into Cancer on Friday and Pluto trines the North Node. Venus and Pluto are another set of “planetary pairs” based on their rulerships of opposing signs. And these transits complement one another nicely. Venus is Cancer is sensitive, loving and affectionate. It’s a feminine planet in a feminine sign, and thus oriented toward nurturing and caring for others. It’s sentimental and romantic, but can also be moody, clingy and needy.

The Pluto / Node transit is less personal and more universal. Still, it works well with the Venus ingress, as both of these transits involve planets that are working toward manifesting their highest vibrations. Pluto / Node transits are often seen as karmic in nature, depending on where the North Node is currently transiting in your natal chart. This aspect can bring people into your life who seem “familiar” due to past life ties.

The Saturn / Neptune square on Saturday has been moving in and out of orb for the past several months. This configuration can see you simultaneously driven to get things done (Saturn) and frustrated by outside distractions and uncertainties (Neptune). You  may want to get away from it all or you may struggle with feelings of worthlessness during this time. You’ll want to double check your work before you turn it in, or better yet wait until the fog (Neptune) has cleared.

That’s it for this week, see you next Sunday!
