Weekly Astrology Forecast — Feb 26, 2018 – Mar 4, 2018:

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Feb 26, 2018 – Mar 4, 2018:

This week starts on Monday with a 1st-quarter (Gibbous) Moon in Cancer. The 1st quarter Moon is tied to home, family, security, emotions and needs (among other things). It’s comfortable in Cancer (the sign it rules), and makes several favorable aspects to other planets before the end of the day.

It trines Neptune, Venus, Mercury, Chiron and Jupiter before the day is through. These planets are in water signs (and all in Pisces except for Jupiter which is currently in Scorpio), and if you add the asteroid Juno which is also now in Pisces, it brings the number of water signs in play this week to 8. This should mark a period of time when intuition is heightened and feelings and emotions are brought to the forefront.

Venus sextiles Pluto on Tuesday. This transit bring out the urge to merge in people, so don’t be surprised if a partner or love interest starts trying to get frisky with you. It’s an alluring, seductive aspect that is known for its sex appeal and rarely fails to deliver.

With Venus now in Pisces (the sign of its exaltation) and Pluto conjuncting its own South Node, this transit takes on a more meaningful vibration. It can bring about connections that feel karmic in nature, or can manifest as a compelling physical attraction for someone you may not have earlier given a second glance. The desire to connect with others on a deep, intimate, personal level is strong.

But don’t get too comfortable as the Mercury square Mars aspect that completes on Wednesday may make it hard anyone to see eye to eye. This aspect suggests that communications may be tempestuous so consider taking a breath and count to 10 before you speak — especially if what you say can come across to others as angry or abrasive.

This transit can manifest as harsh words, confrontations, temper tantrums and impatience. And it can also be careless and / or reckless which translates to “accident prone.” Watch your step during this transit, in more ways than one.

Thursday’s Mercury / Pluto sextile may help to buffer some of the tension created by that Mercury / Mars square. This aspect is all about deep thoughts and penetrating insights. But you don’t want to keep these to yourself. The sextile speaks of joining hands with others, and sharing information that causes you to stop and think.

And let’s not forget the Venus / Jupiter trine that is also in play on Thursday.  This combination is optimistic, enthusiastic and benevolent, and can see you feeling so good about yourself that others respond in kind. Those feelings of goodwill are infectious and can result in opportunities that come to you through unexpected channels.

On Friday (at 00:51 UT), we have the first of two Full Moons in March: this one at 11 Virgo 22. The March Full Moon is known as the Full Crow Moon in Native American traditions. This is a reference to the crow’s cawing, or heralding the last weeks of winter.

It’s also referred to as the Full Worm Moon, the Full Magpie Moon and the Full Sap Moon (among others). The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “A bride with her veil snatched away.

This is an interesting symbol given the numerous examples of public figures being exposed in recent weeks. This symbol suggests that there is  more to come, especially with regard to those who may have seemed pure or virtuous in the past.

The Virgo Full Moon references a need to look more closely at the ways in which we have been of service, to ourselves and in our communities. In what ways have are we striving to make the world a better place, through the combination of self-sacrifice and self-improvement? This is the essence of the Pisces / Virgo polarity.

Also on Friday, we have a nice Mercury / Jupiter trine, which continues into Saturday and is joined by the Moon, which — still in Virgo — is quite active. It squares Mars, sextiles Jupiter and opposes Mercury and Venus before the day is through.

Starting with the Mercury / Jupiter trine: Here we have two natural polarities — the natural rulers of the 3rd and 9th houses — joined together in harmony. We have Mercury — the planet associated with communications and ideas — trining Jupiter — the planet associated with benevolence, good will and generosity.

Among many other things, this transit is good for opening your heart to those you love and expressing appreciation and gratitude for all that you have. It’s good for coming together with others and celebrating your allegiances while honoring and accepting your differences. It’s a time for feeling inspired and optimistic about the future.

The lunar transits are all short term (and thus fleeting) but because the Moon is in Virgo — squaring Mars and opposing Mercury / Venus — there may be tension in the air. If that’s the case just brush it off. The Moon moves between 12-15 degrees every day and will be well on its way to other planetary interactions before you know it.

We end the week on Sunday, with a triple conjunction between Mercury, Venus and Chiron (at 27 Pisces) and another conjunction involving the Sun and Neptune (at 13 Pisces).

Venus, Mercury and Chiron all together in Pisces should see us becoming more aware of our own capacity for giving and for being able to put ourselves in other people’s shoes. This is a charitable aspect that compels you to reach into the very depths of your soul — where compassion, forgiveness and understanding all reside — and bring forth that which is within you in order to pass it onto others.

The Sun / Neptune conjunction can see you feeling inspired to make your dreams a reality or it can see you escaping into a world of fantasy and delusion. It’s a highly receptive aspect that may see you lacking in boundaries but full of creative potential and Utopian ideals.

This combination can be incredibly inspirational, but it can also deplete your energy levels and may see you spending the day dreaming about your long-term goals rather than making any headway toward accomplishing them. Even so, it’s good for fantasizing about the future and envisioning the changes you’d need to make in order to make your dreams a reality.

That’s it for this week; see you next week!
