Well, we made it through a very hot and tense July and are now entering August, the month with two eclipses and the Sun with Jupiter in Leo.
The first eclipse happens on August 12th and is a new Moon Solar eclipse at 20 degrees of Leo. The second eclipse occurs on August 27th and is a full Moon Lunar eclipse at 4 degrees of Pisces.
If you have any planets around the 20 degree of the fixed signs or the 4th degree of the mutable signs, one of these eclipses could affect you. It has to be within 1.5 degrees on either side of the 20th or 4th degrees for a person to really feel the changes eclipses bring and it often takes 6-9 months for the change to manifest.
There are no new planetary stations or direction changes this month, the planets just move forward in their respective sign placements in the cases of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus or in apparent retrograde motion in the cases of Saturn, Neptune and Pluto.
Mercury clears the shadow period from his latest retrograde cycle on August 7. He moves from 19 degrees of Cancer to 11 degrees of Virgo throughout the month. He transits through the sign of Leo from August 9th through August 25th. Mercury moves within 5 degrees of a conjunction with Jupiter while in Leo. Jupiter will be at 9 degrees of Leo from the eclipse on August 12th through August 17th and Mercury transits from 4 degrees of Leo to 14 degrees of Leo, moving right over Jupiter’s position exactly on August 14th. This will be a time of huge revelations in the US.
Venus moves from 24 degrees of Virgo to 22 degrees of Libra, a sign she rules. She finishes her transit through Virgo on August 7. When Venus enters Libra, things straighten out and people return to a more gracious way of behaving, loving and nurturing their close relationships. The pickiness of Venus in Virgo has ended! But that position is very useful for culling your possessions and organizing what you decide to keep.
Mars is now at 23 degrees of Gemini and he enters Cancer on August 12, the day of the Solar eclipse. Mars is weak in the feminine, cardinal water sign of Cancer because that sign is opposite Capricorn, a sign where Mars is exalted. Mars ends the month at 13 degrees of Cancer. I personally don’t find Mars transiting Cancer as destructive, it seems to enjoy the attention and closeness of family and friends during his transit there.
Jupiter moves from 7 degrees of Leo to 13 degrees of Leo by month’s end. Jupiter enjoys being in the masculine, fixed, fire sign of Leo. Even though the fixity of Leo isn’t his jam, as he likes to consider all the options available, he functions well and gets to show off his generous nature and good humor in this sign. When Mercury joins him between August 12th and August 17th, you can expect a deluge of information and great potential for major changes in the world leaderships.
Saturn turned retrograde late last month so he is still slow and powerful this month as he retraces his steps from 14 degrees, 43’ in Aries back to 7 degrees, 55’ through December 10th, when he is done with the retrograde phase and stations. Saturn says “slow down, you move too fast” and that’s in conflict with the sign of Aries, a masculine, cardinal fire sign. Aries likes quick action, a fast pace and speed in general. This retrograde period will test anything put into place around the middle of April, 2026 through late July of 2026. Is it practical? Is it useful? Is it affordable? Is it user friendly? Will it last? These are just a few of the questions that need to be asked during this Rx period through December 10th.
Uranus is still in direct motion and moves from 5 degrees, 16’ of Gemini to 5 degrees, 39’ of Gemini. He will be very powerful in the middle of this month as he retrogrades on September 10th at 5 degrees, 41’ of Gemini and starts to slow down for that. More information comes in after the eclipse and the pace quickens but the solutions don’t come easy. It’s almost a case of too many cooks in the kitchen.
Neptune slowly continues her retrograde period in Aries, moving from 4 degrees, 15’ back to 3 degrees, 40’ at month’s end. There is not much to report as it makes a 60 degrees aspect to both Uranus and Pluto, which is a favorable aspect that brings in many opportunities and new ideas. It is a very nebulous energy, and it can include delusions, inspired action, drug abuse, strange associations and foggy headed unrealistic ideas. But with those favorable aspects to the other two outer planets, it can very much mean inspired and positive actions prevail for the win!
Pluto is retrograde and moves from 4 degrees 9’ of Aquarius to 3 degrees 31’ of Aquarius. While Pluto is transiting this sign through April of 2043, we’ll experience the rise of power to the people again. This is a slow-moving condition that will face challenges but it has to happen as Aquarius favors fairness, equality and power to the masses.

Aries — March 21-April 19: Mars, your ruling planet, moves into your Solar 4th house on August 12th, which is the day of the new Moon Solar eclipse. This is also a very creative time for you, also a time to bond with your children, if you have them. Use the positive lunar vibes on the PM hours of the 2nd, the 3rd, the 4th, the 30th and 31st to promote yourself.
Taurus — April 20-May 20: With retrograde Pluto in your solar 10th house, big changes will be coming for your profession, public image and your career. Opposing that energy, you have both the Sun and Jupiter transiting your solar 4th house of home, family, ancestors, real estate and your peace of mind. This bodes well as Jupiter will be there for another year, and it feels like you are going to prioritize your time at home and time with family over the next year. The best days of the month for you are the 5th and 6th.
Gemini — May 21-June 21: Uranus is starting to slow down for its retrograde period in September and is very powerful after the middle of the month. Mars is also in your sign until the 12th, the day of the eclipse. You have more than adequate energy for accomplishing your desires; you just have to focus on 1 or 2 and not scatter yourself over too many things to do. Gemini tends to do that and then never finishes all they say they are going to do. Mercury goes into Leo, your solar 3rd house of communication and siblings on August 9th, so you can broadcast your message better at that time. The lunar vibes favor you on the 7th and 8th so get out there and network.
Cancer — June 22-July 23: With Jupiter and the Sun in your 2nd house of income, assets and money, you could have a tendency to spend too much money on things that have good value but might spread your cash flow too thin. Neptune is at the top of your chart in your 10th house and that can create situations or work opportunities that never materialize. Something is dangled before you, but you can never quite grab it. Mars enters your sign on August 12th and that will signal a time for self-promotion and actively looking for a better situation for the best use of your talents. Make use of that energy over the next two months to advance your marketability. Positive lunar vibe days for you are the 9th and 10th.
Leo — July 24-August 23: This month favors your interests because the Sun is in its home sign and so is Jupiter. This is a time to just go for it, whatever “it” is for you. There is a Solar eclipse on the 12th at 20 degrees of Leo, so if you have any planets between 18.5 degrees and 21.5 degrees, you may experience major changes within the next 9 months. It doesn’t mean it’s bad, it just is major, depending on the house it happens in, in your case it is the 1st house, of your physical body and how you are perceived by the world. Over the next year and a half, the transiting south node goes through your sign which could mean a loss or a dissolving of a situation or relationship. The best days for your this month are the 11th and the solar eclipse day of August 12th.
Virgo — August 24-September 22: Venus finishes up transiting your sign by August 7th and then she goes into Libra and your solar 2nd house of money, assets and possessions. Not a bad place, just keep to your budget so your money stays with you and not with someone/something else. Uranus is at the top of your chart in the career/professional 10th house and says you have to make a change. The month of September is more active with that energy than August so don’t sweat it right now. The eclipse on the 12th happens in your solar 12th house of solitude, self-sabotage, karma and the subconscious mind. Pay attention to your dream state. The lunar eclipse on the 27th is in your 1st and 7th houses, about you and your partner. The lunar vibes favor you on the 13th and 14th.
Libra — September 23-October 22: You get a big boost in your 10th house of profession and career when Mars goes into Cancer on August 12th, which is also the day of the Solar eclipse in Leo. That gives you about 2 months of running forward with the ball towards the goal line. Venus enters your sign on August 7th, which will give you a positive glow-up, and for the next year, Jupiter transits your 11th house of contact, income from profession, friends and worldly gains. The eclipse on August 12th happens in this house, which is quite fortunate. This is a very productive time to make connections, write contracts and make plans for the future. Your days of good fortune are the 15th, 16th and the AM hours of the 17th.
Scorpio — October 23-November 22: With Mars entering fellow water sign, Cancer, on August 12th, the day of the eclipse, you may sense the vibe shifting in a big way. There’s big energy in your solar 10th house with the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter all in there, so you and your services are in demand and this house is where the Solar eclipse happens on August 12th. Because Venus is in your solar 12th house, you will feel a bit shy about tooting your own horn. Honor your boundaries but do step out to promote your talents. Pluto at the bottom of your chart could cause some underground issues around your house or in the neighborhood. It’s just an inconvenience but you will be annoyed as it will go on longer than planned. Your stellar days are the PM hours of the 17th, the 18th and the 19th.
Sagittarius — November 23-December 20: Jupiter, your ruling planet is in the masculine, fixed, fire sign of Leo now and will be transiting that sign for almost another year! That’s a solid amount of time to get your act together and do some self-promotion, get involved with a community group, get some additional education or make progress with your own personal and spiritual growth. The first eclipse on August 12th happens in your solar 9th house of foreign travel, publishing, higher education and belief systems. Maybe you need a trip abroad to get motivated for some change. The 2nd eclipse on August 27 occurs in your 4th and 10th houses. That one may change where you live or where you work. In either case, it is something to look forward to particularly if you’ve been feeling stuck or in a rut. Capricorn — December 21-January 20: With your ruling planet, Saturn, now in its retrograde phase, you have an opportunity to revise some strategies. Saturn is in Aries in your solar 4th house and in a nice trine relationship with Jupiter for the next couple of months so you can definitely implement the necessary changes for your plans. Just don’t let Jupiter get your hopes too high; slow, measured and steady is how things will work out best. The first eclipse on August 12th happens in your solar 8th house of taxes, inheritances, insurances, and big psychological changes. The second eclipse on August 27th happens in your 3rd and 9th houses. Siblings, short trips, communications as well as publishing, long-distance trips and higher knowledge are featured with that one, so see what you can manifest with that energy. Aquarius — January 21-February 19: With Saturn, now retrograde in Aries and in your solar 3rd house of siblings, communication and short trips might have you taking some time off to visit with your relatives. That seems like a good idea and with the trine to Jupiter in the 7th house of partnership, take your spouse or significant other with you. The first eclipse on August 12th occurs in your 7th house of partnership and the 2nd one on August 27th happens in your 2nd and 8th houses. Both of those houses have to do with money, assets, possessions in the case of the 2nd house and inheritance, end-of-life matters, taxes and deep psychological issues regarding the 8th house. It sounds kind of heavy but these are things everyone has to deal with in life. Good days for progress and enjoyment of life are the 25th, 26th and AM hours of the 27th.
Pisces — February 20-March 20: With Jupiter transiting your solar 6th house of work, habits, health and service to others, you might be considering expanding your work or just consolidating your routines to be more efficient for you. This is never a bad idea. The 1st eclipse on August 12th occurs in this house so that gives it a double emphasis this month. Eclipses can take 6-9 months to manifest. The second eclipse on August 27th happens in your 1st and 7th houses so there are decisions coming up that include your partner’s input and their goals. Good days to make progress are the PM hours of the 27th, the day of the 2nd eclipse, the 28th and the 29th.
