February 2015 Tarot Scopes featuring the Rider-Waite Tarot

Magician

ARIES: Magician

The Magician card is all about bringing your talents to the table and putting them to good use.

Perhaps you have been looking for a job or thinking of changing your occupation. If so it would be wise for you to sit down and assess exactly what it is you can bring to the table of any new employer or occupation you are chasing down.

This doesn’t need to be about you finding a job: it could be that you’re thinking about expanding your knowledge which makes you a little more employable and more valuable in the job market.

You may really be wishing to change jobs but are a little hesitant as you don’t think you have all that a new employer is looking for.

If this is the case think again because the card of the Magician is a strong indicator of a new job, change in careers and if you are happy in your current job it may be that you are about to be given more duties to perform.

Focus on the hands in this card you will see that one is pointed to the earth whilst the other is pointed to the heavens suggesting that you are aspiring to something great yet also grounded enough to see that you cannot just take a big jump and land in that greatness without a bit of preparation.

Hermit

TAURUS: Hermit

There’s a lot of wisdom around for you right now if you know where to look for it. It may come from another person or it may be something buried deep inside of you and waiting to spring forth. Whichever way it comes to you listen to what you are told.

There is a sense of solitude here and a desire for space. If you’re in a relationship and finding the other person pulling away or asking for more separateness, you’d do well to honor their request and give it to them.

This doesn’t necessarily mean they want the relationship to end. It means they genuinely need some time alone to sort out something in their own minds or just to recharge their batteries.

The worst thing you can do is follow them and try to pry from them what they’re thinking and/or feeling as this will only make them retreat further.

The Hermit shows that healing may be done on the “inside” through introspection of our emotions as along as we are given the space to do this in.

Great illumination can come if we’re given the chance to work things out for ourselves away from the distractions of others wanting so much of our time. If you need your own space then this card is saying you not only want a bit of space right now you absolutely need it to get yourself back into equilibrium.

Four of CupsGEMINI: Four of Cups

Is there something you have been thinking of for a while and yet are unable to come up with a decision or wish to speak to others about your thoughts?

You may have been made an offer of something yet do not know what your answer will be so you take some “time out” to think things all through.

The four of cups shows a man who is being made an offer yet he sits back and doesn’t take the offer rather he allows it to hang in the air and does naught about it. He is not even looking at it.

You may find that your partner or someone you are interested in will not allow you to get close to them. They are diverting your attention elsewhere or they are simply stonewalling your attempts to speak with them.

Even when you try everything you can think of to get them to budge they do not move.

This card says that they are not going to shift from this position and you might as well get on and enjoy yourself until they come around and are back to normal.

Is there something you have been thinking of for a while and yet are unable to come up with a decision or wish to speak of it to others.

Six of SwordsCANCER: Six of Swords

The Six of Swords refers to leaving the past behind you and moving toward a “better place.”

This may be literally or it may be figuratively. Look at the woman and child seated in the boat. They have only the clothes on their backs as the are ferried across the river to the other side.

They may seem desolate and defeated. And you may be feeling like you’ve given something up. But chances are good that whatever you’re leaving behind carries with it some painful associations.

The water on one side of the boat is turbulent, indicating some difficulties making it to the other side. But you can see it’s clear and calm to the left, the side associated with following your instincts.

You can also see a whole new world on the other side, suggesting that the destination holds promise and potential.

If you’re coming out of a painful relationship, the loss of a job, or just giving up on a dream, know that there’s something better for you “out there” just across the way.

JusticeLEO: Justice

Is there are decision you have to make or have been putting off? The card of Justice implies that you are at a crossroads and not sure which way to go.

There is the sense of weighting up your decision and the implications of it in your life rather than rushing in and take a course of action without thought.

You may need to step back and focus on the present rather than what you are going to do as when you think of what may happen next you could be overwhelmed with “what if’s”.

For this reason it is in your best interest to get yourself grounded and allow your thoughts to unfold in a way that shows you what each path you are deliberating on may lead to. If you find yourself overwhelmed with too many variables in the outcome you need to step back and give yourself room to relax and clear your mind.

Justice also represents the zodiac sign of Libra and you may find yourself experiencing some Libran traits if you have drawn this card.

For this reason you may wish to also use some of the more positive Libran traits to take your mind of anything that is troubling you and as Venus rules Libra then you have a vast array of activities you can choose from which all imply beauty and self indulgence… think health spa, massage, facial, etc.

Seven of SwordsVIRGO: Seven of Swords

Will you go or will you stay? And what about your partner?

There’s a certain restlessness in this image that shows the figure physically leaving  but still loving over his shoulder at what he’s leaving behind.

This gives the impression that he’s on his way out of a situation, but  still cannot bring himself to leave 100%. Perhaps he’s undecided about whether to leave in the first place. Or maybe he’s already regretting his decision but feels it’s too late to turn back now.

If you’re going through a break up at the moment and are not sure what is going on, this card suggests the other person has not fully made their mind up in what they will do next.

They may be gone from your life yet part of them remains. You may be struggling with the same indecision.

Before you decide to walk away, think about what you’re going to do next. Your best move may be to wait your partner out.

Over time it may become apparent what you (or they) really want to do, making it easier for you to make your mind up in the end.

Ace of WandsLIBRA: Ace of Wands

Are you about to start something new?  A job, new project or relationship?

The Ace of Wands implies that there is something new coming into your life and it is like a breath of fresh air as it gets you all fired up and rearing to go.

You have a firm hold on what you want. Your mind is focussed and all fired up with ideas in where you can go with this new situation that has come into your life.

Good luck with whatever it is and if you have been waiting for something to change in your life perhaps you can give it a bit of a “push”.

You may find that this new direction comes from your past as there is no way to tell whether you are climbing up the stairs or coming down them.

It may be that you have accumulated knowledge from your past and are ready to put it into action in a new direction.

There is certainly a sense of inspiration around as you wait to see what comes next and where it will take you.

Do not be afraid to take your next step for even though the hues of this card are not bright you have the light of the Ace of Wands to light your way.

the WorldSCORPIO: The World

As this image implies this card is a lot to do with travel whether this is a journey you will make or someone coming from afar to visit you.

There is a sense of fulfillment that shows you have come to the end of a journey yourself which may have been an inner journey and given you answers and realizations you did not previously have.

It is as if you have completed something ie a stage of your life, a course, a situation that you have now left completely and this gives you the impetus to move on into a new course of action and direction within yourself or within your life.

If you have felt any restraint around you and what you have been doing then those setbacks and restraints will be lifted.

You will have the opportunity to explore and seek out new experiences and opportunities which will best benefit you.

Do not feel shackled or set yourself back into a situation that has not been serving you well for if you do you may miss the wonderful freedom the energy of the World is extending to you.

Six of CupsSAGITTARIUS: Six of Cups

Happy memories of your past come back to haunt you and there is a certain childlike quality around for you.

If this is to do with a romance it is the type of thing where the two people feel like kids laughing and playing together with no limit to their joy.

On the other hand there can also be one person acting in such a childish way that it is causing friction and tension between the two of you.

Is there a place you have always wanted to revisit from you past and if you did so would it bring up good or bad memories.

The six of cups can stand for your past on many different levels.

You may run into an old friend or someone from school. You may be planning to visit your parents.

If you have children of your own you may feel like entering the childlike spirit they convey to you.

Whatever it is there is joy, adventure and peace in this image and that is always a good thing!

RW-SunCAPRICORN: The Sun

New growth is seen around you and you also have a sense of adventure and play. You may have been wishing to take up a new venture or just let your hair down for a while and have fun.

There is a certain innocence and joviality to this card which means that any bad mood within or around you will not last long and you may even find yourself growing in ways you never thought possible.

This is a person who is out to take risks yet not the kind of risks that may end up in tears. They are so happy and jolly that they forget about their cares and just go along for the ride with life and see where it takes them.

This is a sunny personality with a certain magnetism to others that draws people to them. If you are looking at timings for something to happen then take note that this is a Spring/Summer card and you can expect your luck to change in these months as your spirits lift.

However, you may find that you pull this card and it is the dead of winter and if so the surrounding cards show that you are coming into a time of great happiness then don’t be thinking you have to wait till the weather warms up.

Instead grab your happiness and luck with both hands right now and enjoy it!

Eight of CupsAQUARIUS: Eight of Cups

Have you been feeling emotionally detached lately?

The eight of cups shows a journey which on the surface looks to be about a cold, lonely climb to the top but in reality usually implies you are feeling that you need to go within yourself to find yourself.

There is a stillness around this image which says you do not want to be followed, conversed with or questioned on what you are thinking and feeling.

Rather it is about you and that is how you wish to keep it. This is something you may need to convey to those around you, especially if they are questioning your moves.

It looks to be night time around you but that doesn’t necessarily denote how you’e feeling on the inside. The red cape gives the impression there’s a lot of emotion boiling over inside and around you.

Emotions such as withheld anger and frustration which can come from other people’s actions or from expecting too much of yourself.

If you have been putting too much into work or another part of your life you may wish to sit back and think on this as a little “me” time may do you the world of good.

Seven of WandsPISCES: Seven of Wands

There is a clear amount of defensiveness in this image whether this be you defending yourself against others or someone in your life who is on the defensive towards you.

Either way you would do well to step back and not push this person and if it is you who is defensive you may need to come up with some words to assert your own boundaries and make it clear you are not ready to speak or act just yet.

It may seem that you are under attack yet you are actually standing on the “higher ground” so from this vantage point you can look down and survey that which is pushing your buttons and also possibly gain an advantage as to what your best course of action is.

Do not be mistaken though in thinking you have everything wrapped up and under control from the stance you have taken.

If you look at the feet in this figure you will notice that they are standing on a none too solid surface which could give way if you make a sudden movement or act impulsively.

Because you are standing your ground though near the ladder it seems you do know what is important to defend and what is not to keep any further negatives from coming at you.
