Weekly Astrology Forecast — Sep 14, 2020 – Sep 20, 2020

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Forecast for the week of Sep 14, 2020 – Sep 20, 2020:

This week starts with Balsamic Moon / Venus conjunction in Leo on Monday. This conjunction will be visible on the Eastern horizon in the early morning hours. The Leo Moon is associated with warmth, vitality, personality and creative self-expression. Add to that the conjunction with Venus and the emphasis is on reveling in the moment, embracing life to the fullest, and setting your worries aside long enough to bask in the light of the day.

This fits in very well with a Sun / Pluto trine, which is partile on Monday. This transit is all about harnessing your personal power and channeling it in productive / transformative ways. It’s excellent for business and financial matters since both of these planets are in Earth signs. It can also be used to make positive changes in yourself — as in how you wish to present yourself to the outer world and how you want to be perceived.

On Tuesday,Venus squares Uranus. This aspect can be disruptive, and can manifest as erratic or unstable behavior. It can bring people into your life — or tear them out — with lightning fast speed.  It pits the urge to merge (Venus) against the desire for freedom and independence (Uranus).

As a result, conflicts can erupt — from seemingly out of nowhere — in both your personal relationships and your interactions with others. This transit can introduce you to people who challenge your way of thinking. But it can also see you on a completely different page from those you were aligned with in the past.

Keep this in mind on Wednesday when the Sun moves up to square the North and South Nodes. This is referred to in classical astrology as “at the bendings.” In particular it’s at the North bending which is a highly visible placement. Pay attention to what you put out there — what face you show to the outer world, and how you represent yourself.

The Sun at the Node’s bendings sets up a natural t-square which can manifest as a sense of frustration over discrepancies between what you’re experiencing internally and the image you feel the need to portray.

We have a New Moon at 25° Virgo 00′ on Thursday. This one takes place at 11:00 am UT, or 6:00 am Eastern time.

As New Moons always represent new beginnings and opportunities to start new, this one — in Virgo — brings opportunities to be of service to others. It prompts you to look at what improvements you can make in your own life and what your contributions are to the world at large.

The Sun and Moon are always conjunct at a New Moon, which means that aspects to other planets are shared. In this case, they’re trining Saturn, which can see you getting a lot accomplished at home and in the workplace. It’s a good time to make plans and to assess progress that’s already been made. This transit is ambitious, disciplined and productive. Keep this in mind as Mercury re-emerges as an evening star (also on Thursday) and squares Jupiter.

The Mercury /Jupiter square can see you biting off more than you can chew and promising more than you can deliver. It can manifest as an exaggerated emotional state or dramatic mood swings. As a result, you may be feeling feel particularly energetic and enthusiastic while this aspect is in play. The potential for overdoing things — as in over-committing, over-indulging and over-extending yourself — is strong.

Mercury next inconjuncts Neptune (on Friday). This transit can see you wasting time on meaningless distractions or getting confused by what should be simple directions. This aspect is all about getting your wires crossed and can manifest as misunderstandings or miscommunications.

Be careful too that you don’t misread people, as in placing your trust in the wrong ones or expecting more from them than they can deliver. Don’t buy into everything you read or hear during this time: if it seems too good to be true it probably is, By the same token you don’t want to let your imagination run away with you and start making assumptions about people that are undeserved.

There’s another inconjunct — this one between the Sun and Mars — on Saturday. The Sun / Mars inconjunct can be tricky. It describes a need to remedy an imbalance between the desire for self-actualization (the Sun) and the impulse to follow your urges, whether they are in your best interests or not. This configuration is compounded by the fact that Mars is retrograde, so pay attention your urges during this time and think about whether they are going to benefit you or will lead to something you may later regret.

With the Sun in Virgo and Mars retrograde in Aries, you may find it hard to satisfy both inclinations. But the main things that these archetypes have in common are a need to stay busy and a desire to leave an imprint on the world. So use this time to brainstorm, plan and build a better mousetrap.

Sunday’s transits are relatively minor, but that doesn’t mean this period of time will be uneventful. There are still always transits in play: planets interacting with one another and blending or communicating their unique energies. While the Moon is debilitated in Scorpio — the sign of its Fall — the aspects it forms (aside from a mid-day opposition with Uranus) are relatively benign.

If you have an opportunity to stay home and relax, by all means do so. Because next week is going to be busy, with the Sun moving into Libra (marking the onset of the Autumnal Equinox), Mercury moving into Scorpio, and the asteroid Ceres moving into Aquarius.

That’s it for this week! see you next week.
