Weekly Astrology Forecast — Nov 19, 2018 – Nov 25, 2018:

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Nov 12, 2018 – Nov 18, 2018:

We’ve got an eventful week ahead of us, with one planet (the Sun) changing signs, another planet (Neptune) changing direction, and a Full Moon — the Full Frost (or Full Beaver Moon) — in Gemini.

Starting on Monday, we have a Gibbous Moon in Aries squaring Saturn and then trining Mercury before the day is through. Because it’s in Aries — the sign associated with action, energy, motivation and drive — we  may be chomping at the bit to get things moving.

But keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde and even with the favorable (trine) interaction, you’ll be far better served to look before you leap. Or better yet, look instead of leaping, since there’s also that pesky square to saturn which can put a real damper on things.

On Tuesday, the Sun trines Chiron, which can see you looking out a little less for number one and thinking about what you can do for those who need some added support. This aspect helps you to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, and to more clearly see their point of view.

You may be feeling particularly charitable. Whether you want to practice random acts of kindness, work on paying it forward, or just be there for a friend in need, you’ll find that rewards will far outweigh the inconveniences, so take some time to lend a helping hand. You’ll be glad you did.

This could be tricky, since there’s also a somewhat reckless and self-serving transit —  Mars square Jupiter — at around the same time. Mars and Jupiter in hard aspect can be a bit problematic. It’s loaded with blustery bravado that can see you biting off way more than you can chew or promising way more than you can deliver.

The good news is that it has both the confidence and energy to get things done. But it can be overly confident, which is where problems can arise. If you feel the need to “blow off steam” take a deep breath and count to 10. This transit can be rambunctious and irascible, and can have you saying or doing things you might later regret.

On Wednesday, with Mercury retrograde, out of bounds, debilitated by sign, and squaring Neptune, you want to make sure dot your i’s and cross your t’s and then review anything you are agreeing to, signing or even considering repeatedly. Better yet, hold off on doing any of those things as this is a wild-card energy that can see people making outlandish claims and rash decisions, as well as exhibiting an exaggerated sense of self-importance. The Mercury / Neptune square (which was is still very close to being exact) can also confuse or guilt-trip you enough to be suckered into anything.

Also on Wednesday, the Sun and Uranus — both at anaretic degrees — form an inconjunct, which can either assist or further frustrate this process. It can help by forcing you to honor your own unique contributions or can hinder by pointing out their glaring eccentricities. You can choose to either relish your own peculiarities and learn to “fly your freak flag” (Sun inconjunct Uranus) — or get caught up in the shame and guilt (Mercury square Neptune) that comes with not quite knowing where you stand. In the end it’s entirely up to you.

The Sun moves into Sagittarius on Thursday, and trines the North Node. As Sagittarius is the sign associated with expansion, evolution and growth, the Sun’s ingress into this sign evokes a shift in consciousness toward higher mind pursuits and may have you thinking about brushing up on your studies or pursuing new information and knowledge first hand. You may be thinking about going back to school or taking a trip abroad.

The Sun in Sagittarius archetype is associated first and foremost with personal expansion. How you manifest that will depending on your own evolutionary state, as well as your current focus and interests. You may experience an increased need for freedom and independence during this time in order to facilitate that expansion, through broadening your awareness of worldly affairs or re-evaluating your belief systems.

The Sun’s trine to the North Node automatically also sextiles the South Node. This aspect is all about coming to terms with who you are and being more than ok with it. Bringing the lessons of the past (South Node) into harmony with where you are today. As this is an Earth sign trine it may have a lot more to do with practical considerations than anything else. Things like what you’ve accomplished in your life and where you are heading professionally.

On Friday, we have a Full Moon at 0 Gemini 52. The November Full Moon is also known as the Full Frost Moon (or Full Beaver Moon) in Native American traditions.

The Full Moon provides an overview of the progress you’ve made since its New Moon counterpoint earlier this month. Seeds that were planted then will surely have sprouted; do you need to make adjustments or change your course entirely? Now is the time to think about what you’ve accomplished and where you want to go from here.

The Full Moon is also about restoring the equilibrium in your life and finding balance between head and heart. Nowhere is the Hermetic axiom of “As above, so below; as within, so without” more relevant than it is with this lunar phase. It speaks of your inner being world reflected outwardly and vice versa.

The Full Moon is all about gaining perspective and addressing your own role in whatever your life circumstances might be. There’s no room for blaming or rationalizing anything here. It’s important to take ownership of what’s not right in your world, as well as what is.

Because it’s in Gemini — the sign associated with networking, communications and ideas — we can see how harnessing this Full Moon’s promise can lead to some very good things.

We end the week on Sunday with Neptune going stationary direct, after spending the last 5+ months in retrograde motion. Neptune is at home in Pisces (the sign it rules), and this forward motion inspires us to realign ourselves with our higher ideals. Neptune in Pisces asks us to step outside of ourselves long enough to think about what we can do the make the world a better place. It’s about putting ourselves in other people’s shoes, striving to understand where they’re coming from, and being willing to accept them even when we don’t understand.

It’s about tapping into the collective unconscious and exploring our intuition. It’s about dreams, visions, illusions and psychic perceptions. It’s a good transit for accessing your imagination and bringing it to life through Piscean forms of creativity, such as song, dance, art, poetry or photography.

That’s it for this week. See you next week!
