Weekly Astrology Forecast — Nov 26, 2018 – Dec 2, 2018:

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Nov 26, 2018 – Dec 2, 2018:

We start this week on Monday with the Sun conjuncting Jupiter and Mercury squaring Mars. Aspects among these four planets are in play for most of the week, with the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter all in the early degrees of Sagittarius (, and each of them squaring Mars at different points.

Starting with the Sun conjunct Jupiter conjunction, this is is a “feel good” aspect that can boost your confidence and see you feeling more optimistic and enthusiastic. Sun / Jupiter transits are said to be lucky, but they can also be overindulgent. So don’t get too carried away.

As the Sun conjuncts Jupiter just about once a year, this isn’t exactly an uncommon aspect. But because it’s occurring this time in Jupiter’s own sign, it’s a excellent time to count the blessings in your life and focus on what you have rather than what you lack. That doesn’t mean everything’s going to be hunky dory. But it does suggest opportunities to re-align yourself with more harmonious and conciliatory energies.

The Mercury / Mars square can be somewhat problematic. This transit can manifest as harsh words, confrontations, temper tantrums and impatience. And it can also be careless and / or reckless which translates to “accident prone.” Watch your step during this transit, in more ways than one.

Because of the retrograde, it’s not the time to sign contracts or make major plans or purchases — especially those related to the communications or travel. It is however an excellent time though to review, revisit and revise whatever needs to be given a second look.

Mercury joins in on Tuesday, forming a triple conjunction with the Sun and Jupiter. Here we have two natural polarities — the natural rulers of the 3rd and 9th houses — on either side of the Sun, and all joined together in harmony. We have Mercury — the planet associated with communications and ideas — conjuncting Jupiter — the planet associated with benevolence, good will and generosity, and together they hug the Sun — the body associated with your identity and life force.

Among many other things, this transit is good for opening your heart to those you love and expressing appreciation and gratitude for all that you have. It’s good for coming together with others and celebrating your allegiances while honoring and accepting your differences. It’s a time for feeling inspired and optimistic about the future.

Mars sextiles Saturn, also on Tuesday. This aspect brings focus and discipline to the table, which means holding back and taking all outcomes into consideration before acting on any important decision. While you might be frustrated by \obstacles that seem to be standing in the way of your goals, this transits provides the restraint that is needed to funnel that frustration into forethought and planning.

Venus inconjuncts Chiron on Wednesday. This aspect can put a strain on your love life by forcing you to look at unhealthy relationship patterns, such as mistaking compassion for love or pity for kindness. This transit underscores the potential for missing (or misreading) important social cues. As with all inconjunct aspects, the key to rebalancing this energy is adjusting your own perceptions and adapting your own approach.

We’ve got a Cardinal Grand Cross on Saturday, involving Venus, Uranus and the North and South Nodes. A grand cross is a configuration that involves two sets of planets (or points) that are in square and opposition with one another. This is a pretty powerful aspect, with all four points at anaretic (fated) degrees, and the square to the Nodes in what’s known in classical astrology as “at the bendings.”

The Venus / Uranus portion of this transit has been moving in and out of aspect for the past few months, due to both of these planets having gone retrograde. In general it’s about erratic changes in relationships, especially those that have become mired in drudgery or routine. This transit can bring people in who rock your world, only to see them exit just as quickly as they came in. It can shake up existing relationships too, leaving you feeling like the rug has been pulled out from under your feet.

The square to the Nodes — also known as “at the bendings” — is known for creating crisis, with emphasis on the concept of fate. As Venus represents love, beauty, values and money or material possessions, and as Uranus represents progress, change, and unexpected flashes of brilliance and insight, we can expect to see increased focus on these areas.

Also on Saturday, Mercury retrogrades back into Scorpio, where you may find yourself scrutinizing everything to the infinitesimal degree. This is an excellent placement for doing research and analysis, and can also be good for delving into the deepest darkest regions of your own psyche.

What it might not be so good for is communicating with loved ones. You’ll want to get a handle on the tendency to read into everything and see problems where there are none. This placement can be guarded and / or hyper vigilant. It can also be skeptical, suspicious or paranoid. The good news is that nothing will get past you and no one is going to be able to play you for a fool. But the bad news is that this placement has so much difficulty taking anything at face value that having even a casual conversation can start to feel like walking through a land mine.

Mercury trines the North Node on Sunday while Venus moves out of Libra and into Scorpio itself. The Mercury / Node aspect is all about developing a comfortable rapport with others. It’s about generating a meeting of the minds and communing with those who are on the same page. As the North and South Nodes are always in opposition, the North Node trines Mercury at the same time it sextiles the South Node. Think of this as a relatively painless give and take, even with Mercury retrograde.

With respect to Venus leaving Libra (the sign it rules, along with Taurus) and moving into Scorpio (the sign of its detriment): this placement is often misunderstood due to preconceived notions about how Venus (the planet of love, romance, affection and beauty) is supposed to behave.

There are many positive aspects with this placement, but because the dark side of Scorpio is prone to trust issues, jealousy, possessiveness and control, it can manifest as less than favorable. Still there’s more passion, depth, intensity and intimacy in this archetype than any other Venus placement, so don’t give into your fears. Let your guard down, open your heart, and be willing to take a walk on the wild side.
