Weekly Astro Forecast — April 3, 2016 – April 9, 2016

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of April 3, 2016 – April 9, 2016:

This week starts with a reasonably well-aspected Moon in Aquarius on Sunday. It sextiles Mars, the Sun and Saturn before the day is through. These planets all work well together, with the Moon in innovative, unconventional Aquarius, Mars and Saturn in expansive, optimistic Sagittarius and the Sun and in fiery, dynamic Aries.

Saturn lends just enough discipline and stability to keep things from getting out of hand, and the fact that they are in sextile suggests that these bodies are cooperating with one another rather than resisting. This is a good time to put your head together with like-minded people and do some serious problem solving.

On Monday the Sun inconjuncts Jupiter. This is a feel-good aspect that can be overly dramatic and inclined to go over the top. It can see you feeling so expansive and gregarious that you end up biting off more than you can chew or promising more than you can deliver. The combination of enthusiasm and benevolence can get you thinking you can do more than you really can. And while your heart may be in the right place, your inability to follow through can get you into hot water.

This aspect is known for over-indulging, over-extending and over-committing. In other words overdoing everything. You may be feeling so jovial and so overconfident that you have a hard time reigning in it and exercising any real discipline. This is a waning inconjunct

Venus moves into Aries on Tuesday, just as the Sun moves into trine with Saturn. Venus is in detriment in Aries, as Aries is the sign opposite Venus’ natural ruler, Libra. While there are said to be some disadvantages to having a planet in detriment — usually due to societal norms and expectations rather than any deficit in the archetype itself — there are some wonderful benefits as well.

Venus in Aries is able to put its heart on the line and go “all in” when it comes to love. It’s ardent and passionate about matters of the heart and sees itself as a bit of a maverick. This is a great time to put yourself out there, without fear. It’s a time for taking risks in love and for opening yourself up to new opportunities.

The trine to Saturn can see you getting a lot accomplished — at home and in the workplace. It’s a good time to make plans and to assess progress that’s already been made. This aspect is both incredibly disciplined and productive. It’s also ambitious and very goal oriented. If you want to get things done, now is the time to do it.

Thursday’s New Moon takes place at 18° Aries 04′, conjuncting Uranus. This marks the onset of a new 28-day cycle during which the focus should be on exploring the many possibilities before you. Aries is the sign associated with fresh starts and new beginnings. It’s about facing your fears, taking risks and trying something new. Add Uranus to the mix and thoughts of taking a stand, dedicating yourself to a cause, pushing past social limitations and exploring your own unique identity begin to take shape.

The Sabian symbol for this degree is: “A Person on a Magic Carpet Observes Vast Vistas Below.” This symbol speaks of rising above petty concerns, getting some altitude, adopting a fresh perspective, seeing things from a different vantage point, etc. It may be time to think about taking a trip to a far-off land or exploring uncharted vistas in your own mind.

Uranus inconjuncts the North Node on Friday. Inconjunct aspects require you to make adjustments and to find a middle ground between very dissimilar energies. In this case the focus is on the signs involved — Aries and Virgo. These two signs have very different natural urges, and you may experience some internal tension as a result — especially in regard to other people’s expectations. This aspect is potentially exacerbated by the Sun joining in on Saturday, but they key is find a way to compromise rather than giving into rebellious attitudes.  to get them working together rather than allowing

The Sun inconjuncts the North Node on Saturday and conjuncts Uranus. The Sun Node configuration — with the Sun inconjuncting the North Node and semisextiling the South Node — can see you questioning who you are and what changes you need to make in this lifetime as part of your own evolutionary process. It can manifest as an existential crisis — however momentary that may be. It encourages you to compare the Self you’re showing to the outer world with the Self you envision deep within.

The Aries Sun and Virgo North Node may be at odds with one another, as these signs are naturally inconjunct — meaning that they do not share any common dignity, element or triplicity. But they do have certain things in common: like self-possession and autonomy. Therefore this aspect can be put to good use by focusing on how these bodies can work together. It’s a good time to take personal inventory and see what you can do to make improvements in yourself.

The conjunction to Uranus good for expressing yourself in ways that may not be conventional but can inspire tolerance and acceptance in others. As the Sun is tied to your life force, will and self-expression, while Uranus is tied to thinking outside the box, these planets joining together can be incredibly progressive and innovative. This aspect encourages you to march to the beat of your own drum and express your own unique individuality in ways that inspire rather than shock.
