Weekly Astrology Forecast — Jun 22, 2020 – Jun 28, 2020

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Forecast for the week of Jun 22, 2020 – Jun 28, 2020:

This week starts with five planets retrograde, and for brief period (between Tuesday and Thursday) there will be six. Starting on Monday, there’s a Moon (still New) in Cancer which squares Chiron, sextiles Uranus, conjuncts Mercury and trines Neptune before the day is through.

The Moon is at home in Cancer, the sign it rules. It’s also overwhelmingly sensitive to nuance and conjecture. While lunar aspects are generally fleeting, Monday’s are mostly positive while Tuesday’s (oppositions to Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn) may be tense.

On Tuesday, Neptune goes stationary retrograde at 20° Pisces 57. Neptune is retrograde for about 5 months of every year, moving backward through the zodiac until it turns direct. This year that happens on November 30th, although it won’t cross its shadow point (the degree at which is goes retrograde) until March of 2021.

Neptune is at home in Pisces, and when it’s retrograde it can bring you one step closer to Nirvana. It opens up your psychic pathways and makes it easier for you access the collective unconscious. It is sensitive, compassionate, idealistic and altruistic. It can also be unrealistic and delusional.

By Wednesday, the Moon will have moved into Leo and in mutual reception with the Sun. These mutual receptions act to strengthen the natural influences of the planets involved, uniting them together in collaboration. In this case — with the Sun in Moon’s sign and vice versa, the ability to balance our inner and outer worlds should be greatly enhanced.

The Leo Moon is regal, dignified and proud. As Leo is the sign associated with warmth, vitality, personality and creative self-expression, the emphasis is on reveling in the moment, embracing life to the fullest, and setting your worries aside long enough to bask in the light of the day.

On Thursday, Venus will go stationary direct at 5° Gemini 20′, after having spent the last 6 weeks in retrograde motion. You should start to notice a shift in energy related to all things Venus — especially love and romance. Relationships that started during this period — as well as romantic attractions that were sparked — will be seen in a whole new light.

As Venus moves forward you may be asking yourself whether your relationships will do the same. During the retrograde cycle, you may have been tying up loose ends in a relationship that was on its last legs, or you may have been compelled to reach out and reconnect with a lover from your past. But now you’re moving your energy away from the past and back toward the present and future. You’ll be thinking about which direction you want to take your relationships from this point forward as well.

Where does Venus fall in your natal chart and what houses does it rule? (you may need to speak with an astrologer if you’re unsure about that). Venus rules two signs — Taurus and Libra — and the houses with these signs on the cusp will be activated by its change in direction. This will add other dimension to the impact of this transit and how it will affect you personally.

On Friday. Mars squares the North and South Nodes, an aspect that is known in classical astrology as “at the bendings.” This aspect is known for creating crisis, with emphasis on the concept of fate. As Mars represents energy, action and drive, this can be a high energy transit that manifests as t that translates as combative or explosive energies.

It can manifest with people (arguments or even violence) or events (such as volatile weather and Earth changes). Since all three of these points are at anaretic (the 29th) degrees, there are bound to be karmic indications — and repercussions — or whatever conflicts may arise.

On Sunday, Mars moves into Aries, where it’s right at home in its own sign, the sign it shares rulership with, with Scorpio. As Mars represents what we’re passionate about as well as what we’re instinctually compelled to do, this transit emphasizes the Arian inclinations toward energy, action and drive.

It’s impatient, impulsive and aggressive, but can also be somewhat reckless or inconsiderate. That’s because Mars in Aries wants to act first and think about the consequences later. Fortunately in this case it eases into a sextile with Saturn which is naturally more consistent.

The Saturn / Mars sextile brings focus and discipline to the table, which means holding back and taking all outcomes into consideration before acting on any important decision. While you might be frustrated by obstacles that seem to be standing in the way of your goals, this transits provides the restraint that is needed to funnel that frustration into forethought and planning.

That’s it for this week. See you next week!
