Here is the Ask the Astrologers Forecast for the week of Nov 23, 2020 – Nov 29, 2020:
This week starts on Monday with a first quarter Moon in Pisces, where it sextiles Uranus, trines Mercury and conjuncts Neptune before the day is through. The Moon in Pisces is loving, compassionate, creative and highly impressionable. It can increase psychic awareness and make you more susceptible to outside influences. It’s mystical and ethereal, but can also be incredibly naive.
It’s not good at filtering out negative or harmful information, and can therefore be easily deceived. So try to temper some of that excess sensitivity with some good old fashioned common sense, especially if you’re inclined to attract people into your life who drain you emotionally.
Mercury next trines Neptune on Tuesday. This transit is intuitive, idealistic and visionary. It opens up the psychic pathways that lead us to our dreams. Mercury trine Neptune is incredibly perceptive. It provides unparalleled access to the collective unconscious.
During this time, you may find yourself experiencing profound psychic insights or instances of synchronicity and deja vu. Keep in mind though that even with Mercury in skeptical, suspicious Scorpio) that this aspect can also manifest as being overly gullible or easily fooled.
On Wednesday, Venus inconjuncts Chiron. This aspect can bring with it a need to reevaluate your personal value systems. It can manifest as an urge to be self-sacrificing, which can translate as either an angel of mercy or a glutton for punishment. You may find yourself wanting to “give until it hurts” which can turn you into a martyr for an unworthy cause.
This transit can place a strain on your love life by forcing you to look at unhealthy relationship patterns, such as mistaking compassion for love or pity for kindness. This transit underscores the potential for missing (or misreading) important social cues. As with all inconjunct aspects, the key to rebalancing this energy is adjusting your own perceptions and adapting your own approach.
The Sun steps in and trines Chiron on Thursday. This transit can see you looking out a little less for number one and thinking about what you can do for those who need some added support. You may be feeling particularly charitable, or you may yourself healing your own traumas through helping others.
Whether you want to practice random acts of kindness, work on paying it forward, or just be there for a friend in need, you’ll find that rewards will far outweigh the inconveniences, so take some time to lend a helping hand. You’ll be glad you did.
On Friday, Mercury sextiles Pluto while Venus opposes Uranus. Starting with the Mercury / Pluto aspect: this aspect can ease the way to compromise and open communications. It’s great for putting your head together with like-minded people have having some lively — albeit potentially heated — conversations. This aspect is all about deep thoughts and penetrating insights. But you don’t want to keep these to yourself. The sextile speaks of joining hands with others, and sharing information that causes you to stop and think.
The Venus / Uranus opposition is a bit more difficult. It can manifest as erratic changes in your relationships, especially those that have become mired in drudgery or routine. This transit can bring people in who rock your world, only to see them exit just as quickly as they came in. It can shake up existing relationships too, leaving you feeling like the rug has been pulled out from under your feet.
By Saturday, the Moon will have joined in, as it conjuncts Uranus (in Taurus) and opposes Venus. The Moon is dignified in Taurus (the sign of its exaltation) while Venus is debilitated in Scorpio (the sign of its fall). As such, this configuration has the potential for being even more problematic than your typical Moon / Venus opposition.
Add to that the conjunction with Uranus and things can become unpredictable. If you’re dealing with ups and downs in your relationships, it’s not the time to force someone’s hand or insist on doing things your way. You’ll get much better results allowing your partner a wide berth and getting some space yourself.
Fortunately things start mellowing out again with that exalted Taurus Moon trining the three power planets in Capricorn, while Mercury moves into sextile them all. First up is Jupiter (exact on Sunday.) This brings together the planet associated with thoughts and ideas (Mercury) and the planet associated with belief systems and higher mind pursuits (Jupiter) together in a harmonious 60° aspect. In addition to everything else, this sextile speaks of broadening your mind and changing your perceptions.
Also on Sunday, Neptune goes stationary direct, after spending the last 5+ months in retrograde motion. Neptune is at home in Pisces (the sign it rules), and this forward motion inspires us to realign ourselves with our higher ideals.
Neptune in Pisces asks us to step outside of ourselves long enough to think about what we can do the make the world a better place. It’s about putting ourselves in other people’s shoes, striving to understand where they’re coming from, and being willing to accept them even when we don’t understand.
It’s about tapping into the collective unconscious and exploring our intuition. It’s about dreams, visions, illusions and psychic perceptions. It’s a good transit for accessing your imagination and bringing it to life through Piscean forms of creativity, such as song, dance, art, poetry or photography.
That’s it for this week! see you next week.
