Here is the Ask the Astrologers Astro Forecast for the week of July 12 – July 18, 2015:
On Monday, Mercury trines Neptune and the Sun squares Uranus. The first part of this configuration is quite pleasant. It opens up the psychic pathways that lead us to our dreams. Mercury trine Neptune is incredibly perceptive. It provides unparalleled access to the collective unconscious. You may find yourself experiencing profound psychic insights or instances of synchronicity and deja vu.
The Sun / Uranus square can bring out the rebel in you and everyone around you. You may feel like bucking the system or challenging other people’s attitudes. This aspect likes to go against the grain so be sure you’re really invested in whatever cause you’re devoting yourself to and not just doing things for shock value.
The Venus / Saturn square on Tuesday can bring relationship problems to the forefront. It can manifest as feeling lonely, rejected or left out. You may feel like you’re not getting your needs met and if so you want to look at whether you’ve been too unsure of yourself to ask. It may not be the best time to put your heart on the line, but this aspect is good for getting clarity, for better or worse.
Fortunately it’s also tempered by another aspect that day, that of the Sun trining Chiron. If the Saturn / Venus square has you questioning how much you’re valued by those you love, the Sun / Chiron aspect can make it a easier to understand where they’re coming from. This aspect helps you to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, which allows you to more clearly see their point of view.
If you haven’t already ironed out some of the relationship issues that’ve been plaguing you over the last couple days, watch out for Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday, Mars and Pluto move into opposition and supercharge relationship conflicts and volatility. Egos are on the line here and you may find yourself embroiled in a battle that you have no idea how it started. Physical exercise is one of the best ways to release this kind of tension so think about making love not war during this time.
The New Moon in Cancer falls on Thursday just as Mercury conjuncts Mars and opposes Pluto. Emotions are high, as are impatience and impulsivity. You want to think before you speak, especially if speaking turns into lashing out at others. Remember that this transit is fleeting and will pass in a matter of days, so think about what might be said that you won’t be able top take back later.
Mercury, Mars and Pluto in this kind of tense aspect can also manifest as carelessness and recklessness. This is an accident-prone transit which can be minor (small cuts, burns, bruises, etc.) or major (automobile accidents, fires and physical violence). Do what you can to release any tension in the safety of your home — or gym — so that it doesn’t come at you from the outside.
FInally, on Saturday, Venus moves into cool, calm and hyper-critical Virgo. This is a great time to focus on work and productivity. It’s good for working on yourself as well — as in changes to your physical appearance, starting a new diet or exercise regimen, diving into self-help books, and taking care of your health.
Venus in Virgo is incredibly autonomous, so think about what you may have relied on others for in the past that you’re capable of tackling on your own. This doesn’t mean you need to shy away from partnerships: in fact this placement is right at home when it comes to doting on and taking care of others. But it’s a good time to think about the things you’ve been wanting to do to improve and enrich your own life, and then setting about to do them.
That’s it for this week, see you next Sunday!
