Here is the Ask the Astrologers Astrology Forecast for the week of Nov 15 – Nov 21, 2015:
This week starts out with a Venus / Neptune inconjunct on Sunday. This aspect can have you questioning your own morals as well as your feelings about others. What you may have found appealing in the past is now being shown in a different light. This transit compels you to think about how much you give of yourself and whether that translates to sacrificing your own needs.
It may be difficult for you to reconcile your values with your ideals. You might struggle with the idea of being selfish and indulging yourself (Venus) in contrast to your desire to help those who are less fortunate (Neptune). And you may also be taking a second look at your own appraisals, as in what (and whom) you find aesthetically pleasing.
On Tuesday, the Sun conjuncts Mercury at 24° Scorpio. This aspect is called “cazimi” (in the heart of the Sun) so that its influence is said to be heightened and energized by the Sun. The last time this happened (September 30th) Mercury was retrograde, which weakened its influence (as did the Sun’s placement in Libra, the sign of its fall). .
Mercury conjunct the Sun in Scorpio is great for research, penetrating insights and compelling communications. It’s not the time to engage in frivolous conversations, pettiness or gossip.
On Wednesday Neptune turns stationary direct at 7° Pisces. Neptune is at home in Pisces (the sign it rules), and this forward motion inspires us to realign ourselves with our higher ideals. Neptune in Pisces asks us to step outside of ourselves long enough to think about what we can do the make the world a better place. It’s about putting ourselves in other people’s shoes, striving to understand where they’re coming from, and being willing to accept them even when we don’t understand.
It’s about tapping into the collective unconscious and exploring our intuition. It’s about dreams, visions, illusions and psychic perceptions. It’s a good transit for accessing your imagination and bringing it to life through Piscean forms of creativity, such as song, dance, art, poetry or photography.
On Thursday Mercury sextiles the North Node and trines the South Node. This is a good time to rally your friends together and share ideas and interests. It’s about joining together with like minded people in whatever capacity. This is especially good for group-related events — conferences, workshops, board meetings, etc. — where the Virgo / Pisces Nodes can put to good use the penetrating insights the Scorpio Mercury brings.
On Friday Mercury moves into Sagittarius. And while Mercury may not particularly love being in Sagittarius (the sign of its detriment), the rest of the world sure seems to appreciate it. This signature is all about being honest, blunt, frank and telling the truth — even when it hurts.
It’s known for being upbeat, positive, optimistic and expansive. It’s a great storyteller — even when it feels the need to exaggerate or embellish a bit to make things more interesting — and is as interested in learning as it is teaching or disseminating information to others. This is especially positive as the Sun also sextiles the North Node and trines the South Node on Friday. Combining this with the Mercury in Sagittarius transit, you can get a lot of the end of the week stuff done, and have a lot of fun doing it.
Saturday’s Venus square Pluto aspect can rain a bit on your parade, especially if you’ve been dealing with tension in your relationship. Although Venus is comfortable in Libra (the sign it rules), it’s still likely to be trumped by the power Plutonian square. Problems that have been simmering beneath the surface can come to a head and force you to confront your relationship problems head on.
This is not the time to deliver an ultimatum or back someone into a corner. This transit can be volatile and can lead to actions and decisions that can’t be taken back later. Choose your relationship battles wisely during this time — or better yet choose not to do battle at all.
