Weekly Astrology Forecast — Mar 5, 2018 – Mar 11, 2018:

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Mar 5, 2018 – Mar 11, 2018:

We start the week on Monday with a disseminating Moon in Libra and a triple conjunction involving Venus, Mercury and Chiron.  The Libra Moon is known for fairness and objectivity, and because it’s in disseminating phase, the emphasis is on sharing and exhanging ideas. It’s good for social interactions that call for cooperation and collaboration, as it strives for balance and harmony.

The Venus / Mercury / Chiron conjunction has been in play or a few days, with Venus and Mercury reaching the last (29th) degree of Pisces before the day is through. The 29th degree of any sign is a critical degree (called an “anaretic degree”) and is said to intensify the nature of the sign it’s in — which in this case is the ethereal, dreamy and visionary sign of Pisces.

On Tuesday, Mercury and Venus both move into Aries. This conjunction at the first degree of Aries is powerful in that it not only reinforces the impulsive and instinctual dynamic associated with the Aries archetype, but also strengthens

Venus is in deriment in Aries — the sign of its fall — while Mercury is its esoteric ruler. Theogether they focuses this energy toward relationship issues. They add a layer of passion and depth to interpersonal communications, and may see you revealing more about yourself (and your feelings and intentions) than you’d planned on.

Mercury in Aries encourages you to be flexible and adaptable, and to find a positive outlet for your restless or impatient impulses. You may be bursting with ideas and an urgency to communicate them to others, but watch out for a tendency to go off on wild tangents or to lose interest before you get any of them fully off the ground.

While there are said to be some disadvantages to having a planet in detriment — usually due to societal norms and expectations rather than any deficit in the archetype itself — there are some wonderful benefits as well. Venus in Aries is able to put its heart on the line and go “all in” when it comes to love. It’s ardent and passionate about matters of the heart and sees itself as a bit of a maverick. This is a great time to put yourself out there, without fear. It’s a time for taking risks in love and for opening yourself up to new opportunities.

Wednesday and Thursday are relatively quiet, aside from a handful of transits involving the Moon. First there’s a Moon / Pluto sextile on Wednesday followed by a / Jupiter conjunction in Scorpio. These are both harmonious aspects that emphasize depth and intimacy. But the Moon goes void of course around 8 am (UT) and will remain void until late in the evening when it moves into Sagittarius.

The void of course Moon is a common occurrence; it marks the period of time between the Moon’s last aspect in one sign and its ingress into the next. In this case with it being void for 12 hours\, it’s probably best to not implement any new plans or make important decisions.

The Sagittarius Moon on Thursday trines Mercury and Venus, then squares Saturn and finally trines the North Node (and sextiles the South Node) before the day is through. These transits all may be minor (and fleeting) but — aside from the square to Saturn — they can soften some of the tensions brought on by the aforementioned influences and make for a relatively pleasant day.

On Friday, Jupiter goes stationary retrograde.  Jupiter is the planet associated with higher consciousness and spiritual pursuits. When it turns retrograde, it turns all of those spiritual and higher-mind impulses inward. It can bring greater insights and awareness based on what resonates with us personally rather than through external doctrines. Here you can read more about Jupiter retrograde (involving a previous retrograde cycle) for more insights into this phenomenon.

Jupiter will be retrograde for four months (until July 12th). Use this time to think about what makes you feel fulfilled on a Soul level, rather than the objects and accomplishments that bring you external comfort and satisfaction. It’s a time for pursuing altruistic or charitable goals. And a time to build on your personal relationship with your own higher power.

With the Moon in Sagittarius — the sign Jupiter rules — for a few days, the emphasis on spiritual pursuits and personal expansion is reinforced. Especially on Saturday, when that Sagittarius Moon conjuncts Mars and trines Uranus in Aries.

In general, the Sagittarius Moon inspires us to think about travel, adventure, spirituality, philosophy and higher mind pursuits. It takes us out of our comfort zones and gets us thinking about how the other half lives. Keep in mind too that Mars and Jupiter are currently in mutual reception, which strengthens their respective influences.

The Moon / Mars conjunction is all about energy, action and adventure. It’s about being on the verge of something new and exciting, knowing that the anticipation is just as exhilarating as the adventure itself. And the trine to Uranus inspires us to take a walk on the wild side (or at least consider taking the road less traveled). It’s innovative, progressive and open to new experiences.

The Sun sextiles Pluto on Sunday, just as Mars trines Uranus. This pair of aspects works very well together, with the Sun / Pluto portion emphasizing personal power and charisma while the Mars / Uranus portion is a high-energy aspect that can have you feeling like you can succeed in anything you set your sites on.

There’s not a lot of forethought there; it’s all action, energy and innovation. It’s moving forward in leaps and bounds, breaking through whatever has held you back in the past and pushing past limitations.Together these transits complement one another, especially in the realm of personal relationships.

There’s also a square between Mercury and Saturn on Sunday, which can temper some of the above intensity. In fact it can be a real downer. It can bring feelings of melancholy to the surface. It can manifest as boredom or apathy. It can leave seeing the glass as half empty rather than half full. If you find yourself asking “what’s the use?” or “why even bother?” This transit can see you wallowing in your own misery, so try to shift your thinking. Remember that things are never as bad as they may seem, especially when Saturn is involved.

That’s it for this week; see you next week!
