Strength

What is it about today that has you knowing that if you take your own strength back you can accomplish anything?

You may have lately been feeling that anything you did was not good enough and the only place you could go was deep inside yourself to draw on inner reserves.

Sometimes we are our own worst critics and other times others are our worst critics but is any of the criticism truly worth it and do you have to accept the criticism from yourself and/or others as the truth.

This image shows that there is strength deep inside you simply bursting to come out and when it does it will feel as if you have shed a skin and are someone else.

I’m not saying it will be an easy transformation to pull off and it may take some time as can be seen in the cycles of the moon on the upper left side of the image.

However, when you do shed what has been holding you back and see things for what they really are you will simply “shine”.

Nothing and no one will stand in your way. There is a predominance of red in this card which denote action. You will not get to where you wish to be by simply sitting back hoping and wishing you need to take some decisive action and put yourself first.

Today is not a day to be wishy washy in what you want or what you hope to accomplish. Today is more a day of seeing what you want, going for it and knowing you are onto a winner.

The Tower

Uranus squares Pluto today and as the image in this card suggests you may feel like giving the whole day a “miss”.

A tower can be seen blowing up outside the window yet you sleep soundly through it.

If you have felt you are being pulled into other people’s issues then today is a day you may wish to step back a bit and give yourself some hard earned rest from taking care of other people’s problems.

On the other hand if there is anything you should’ve taken care of in your own life and you didn’t do so then you don’t want things happening outside your control while you bury your head in the sand.

A cat may have nine lives but you do not.

The black bird suggests that there is news coming your way and yet you do not want to hear it. The pears in all shapes, sizes and colours suggests you have tried many ways to overcome an obstacle but no matter what you tried you have not been able to find the right “answer”.

Perhaps, like the pears, you have been too “sweet” yourself in finding the answer.

Today may not bring you answers however it may bring you a whole lot of headaches and problems none of which you have any control over. It is through this that you may learn the lesson of self love as can be seen from the pink dress worn. Pink is the colour of love and strengthening your boundaries is a great place to start.

Choose the situations you wish to be involved in today carefully. Allow others to do what they need to do and you do what you need to do.

Two of Cups

Welcome to today! There are some fantastic transits happening today which not only involve the Sun (“you”) but also Venus (“love”).

The Sun is trining Jupiter today which means things are going well for you. There may be some big bangs too as something takes off and your luck seems to have a continuous momentum with its motion.

Venus is sextile Neptune and as can be seen in this image there is a lot of balance around today.

Male and female, yin and yang, giving and taking. Although the images in this card are not showing too much emotion the other imagery shows that all is peaceful and at the same time there is an elusive healing quality with the silence that is portrayed.

The owl’s wings are spread as if to say the encompassing emotions that are around today are settling through every area of your life not just romantically.

It is a good day to think of some creative pursuit and see what this opens up for you.

The higher you look in this card the brighter the colours become almost as if you are starting from the ground up and the higher you go the better things become.

If you have had any niggling thoughts hand them over to a higher power and allow the positives to shine down upon you.

There is much self love around as well as romantic love. This is a day where you can be heard and in turn listen to others. It is a day to be happy and celebrate just how great your life is!

As you look around yourself today, or not, you may find you are coming into a new way of thinking.

One that has nothing to do with what anyone else thinks of you and has everything to do with what you think about yourself and in which way you wish your life to be heading.

The beauty of these new thoughts will be that you are nourishing yourself and not giving away any of your energy to others.

This is a great time to plan something new in your life and do it your way!

Don’t take any notice to what others are telling you to do or which way to think because you have the opportunity today to not only nourish yourself with your new thoughts but to also show by example what can be accomplished if you give yourself over to nourishing your own mind.

The tail of the tiger in this image is placed over the background landscape showing the far reaching consequences of how far you can go if you take your power back and give it to yourself… as opposed to giving it away to others.

It’s like a river which runs into the water hole your are drinking from which perfectly describes that what you give out you get back and also what you get back you give out.

Think on those words because you want to be truly independently thinking for yourself so you make sure that what you are giving out comes from you and not from someone else’s way of thinking that has you acting like a puppet to their thought processes.

Balance

With Mercury in close contact with the Sun in Sagittarius today there is a need for balance and the possible need to reign in any actions that may get out of hand.

The dragons in this image are in perfect harmony and both balance the other perfectly like night and day. They arise from the base of the tree like kundalini energy illuminating what is around for you today.

Take note of the face underneath the tree. There is an ancient quality to this face which speaks of wisdom accumulated through life experiences and the ability to balance this wisdom in areas of your life without going overboard or holding back.

Mercury is also trining Jupiter today which while it gives you excellent communication skills it also may be that Jupiter throws this out of balance and more communicating is done than you first intended.

If this is the case or you feel as if you are going to say more than you wanted to then you need be clear in your own mind the parameters of any conversations otherwise you may put your foot in it which takes the balance of power from you in a situation and inadvertently gives it to the other person.

Remember there is wisdom around for you today. It is a wisdom that speaks of the past and what has gone before.

It is a wisdom that says you don’t need to act you can sit back planning and thinking your way through things. And if all else fails Jupiter is the planet of luck… so you can’t do much damage!

What has caught your attention today to the extent that you have let go of everything else and become fixated on.

It is not a negative thing as you do not look to be in pain but it is perhaps something that is going around and around your mind and not giving you too much leeway in getting anything done.

The Page of Cups can draw out creative and artistic talents.

You may find yourself looking around your “world” today with new eyes and a different appreciation of what is around for you.

If you find this is the case you may wish to write your thoughts down, draw, paint or just give yourself some type of artistic expression to what you are feeling.

This can also help with anything that is plaguing you from the past that you can’t seem to shake off because its at times like this that you will find it hard to see what you need to do next or what is happening around you.

Sometimes the answer lies within you. Sometimes it lies without. Give yourself plenty of scope today to look at what you are seeking from all sources available to you.

Don’t just focus on one thing to the exception of everything else. If this happens you may find yourself caught up in that fish bowl going around in circles with no beginning and no end whilst giving the source of your thoughts more power than it is due.

With Venus entering Capricorn today you can almost sense the change in energy around you when it comes to love.

The image on this card depicts a more self centred love versus the open, happy go lucky type of love seen when Venus is in Sagittarius.

Six butterflies flutter around the image. Three are perched on the figure whilst the other three fly freely.

The number six in numerology is the number for Venus and the halving of this number shows that there is balance in your emotions today. You feel the emotion, you let it go.

There may have been something that you have been holding onto recently that you have come to understand you need to let go of.

Today is the day to do this especially as you are so balanced on the outcome. All emotions flow to you and from you and this in turn gives you power over negative emotions.

The depiction of a ballerina in this image also shows that you are not only emotionally balanced but physically you are striving for health and balance in your life.

I am particularly loving the heart image in the lower right side of the card as it twines within the root system to feed and nourish loving kindness to you. It may not look too green or nourishing but it is what you give out and draw in that will change this balance for you.

With the hard decisions behind you and time to focus on yourself today should be a day to remember!

Ten of Cups

Today is a good day for counting your blessings and knowing that you’ve come by to a place in your life where you’re aware of what (and whom) truly matters most.

The Ten of Cups tells you that you’ve achieved something worth acknowledging and celebrating, as seen here in the imagery of this card.

The Ten of Cups is all about fulfillment and security; a solid foundation of abundance and prosperity, and the sense that you have built something you can take pride in.

This extends well beyond financial or material security. It’s more about family, lasting friendships and a comfort — in your home and your community — surrounded by people you love.

In this version of the card we see two strong arms — a man’s and a woman’s — lifting a golden chalice up in a show of harmony and unity.

A colorful rainbow pours into the chalice, while nine more cups are lined up like a staircase behind them, reminding us of the steps that have been taken to lead us to where we are today.

The landscape behind them is serene and peaceful, with lush verdant hillsides and trees. Even the surface of the water is calm..

If you sit back and take stock of what has actually changed for you will get the sense that while some things change others stay the same and this is neither good nor bad.

Everything is as it should be for you to enter the next phase of your plans.

The journey that began with the Fool ends here with the “World,” and a sense of accomplishment, fulfillment and completion.

And just like the Fool, you’ve come full-circle, from instinct to essence to progress to development, as you end one cycle and embark on a new one.

This card represents endings and new beginnings.You must tie up loose ends and close the door on one chapter in your life — even if that leaves you with feelings of longing or regret.

You can see the tree in this card sitting on top of the world, encircling and embracing it. It grows upwards towards the heavens and the world just keeps on turning — just as we must grow and change with the natural rhythms of life.

With Mercury squaring Chiron today you may feel as if you are a bit off balance. On top of this there is also a full moon in Gemini which gives you new thoughts and experiences.

Looks like it’s time to contemplate where you have come from and where you are going. Not to mention the small twist of where you are now.

If life has not been going your way lately take heart that today looks to be quite cathartic for you in finding a path that suits you better.

Others may be looking to you to lead them or show them the way in what is possible and while you are finding your own feet you may have some trouble with this. Nevertheless you have been given wings to fly and fly you will even if it is a small step.

As you look around you today you may find the past, present and future colliding as well as laid out before you and clearly being seen for what it is. What will you do next?

You may feel as if the ground has been knocked out from under you which is disorientating but rest assured you will soon pick yourself up in a different way to the past which also gives you new ideas on what you will do next.

You may not be ready to take a leap of faith and launch yourself forward but you will certainly be feeling as if you have been given a helping hand in finding what it is you want and who you are.

Like a caterpillar emerging from its cocoon you will find this metamorphosis not only working in your favour but also a chance to show off your skills to others who may be following your path.

Do you stay or do you go? That is the question today as you seem to be on your way out of one situation yet not quite ready to leave it all behind.

As you move from this situation there seems to be some need for you to do it with stealth or without quite being seen to be doing what you are really doing.

If you are in a rocky relationship be aware that your partner may be on the way out the door without you realising it as they are playing a two sided game whereby you are not sure where you stand with them and their actions/words are not aligning with what is actually going on.

Hopes and dreams may not be clear as can be seen from the different shaped stars in the sky. What you hope when you wish upon a star may not be the same as what you actually get. You need to be ready for anything as circumstances can change at the drop of a hat.

There is more “unspoken” than “spoken” within this card. The 5 swords being carried away heavily outweigh the 2 swords left which means you are only being told a part of the story and a small part at that.

Do not expect to know the whole truth or all the facts as only the person doing the leaving knows this and they are more than willing to take their secrets with them as they go.

Keep in mind that if you or the other person do decide to return the door is still open although this may not always be the case.

The Magician

Today you’ll be honing your skills and talents to perfection, so that they can be put to practical use.

And not just any skills at that because Mars moves into Aquarius today the skills you may be calling on could be a bit out of the ordinary for you but you will be hit with the thought to use them just the same. If you try doing so you may learn more than you imagined.

Although the Magician is full of lofty ideas and goals, they don’t amount to much if they can’t be brought down to earth and made manifest. This is your goal today: to take all you think and know and make it accessible to others in a useful way.

In this deck, Hermes — patron god of travelers, thieves, messengers and magicians — is depicted as the Magician, pointing upwards toward the heavens and downwards toward the earth.

The four elements (fire, earth, air and water) are at his feet, symbolizing the four suits of the tarot. It’s clear that he has all he needs right there at his disposal, if only he puts them to use.

You’ll want to set about accomplishing something tangible. Know that all of your resources are right there at your fingertips, and will only need to be accessed in order to create something “magic.”

Mars moving into Aquarius today gives you a spark for the creative where ideas may just come to you at the drop of a hat. Perhaps carrying a small notebook around would be a good idea so you can write them down.
