Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 23, 2015 — Three of Cups

Three of Cups

Three of Cups

Today is a good day to connect (or reconnect) with loved ones and focus on putting your differences aside.

The Three of Cups — this version from the wonderful Morgan Greer Tarot — is a joyful and festive card that emphasizes partying and celebrating over work and responsibilities. It also emphasizes friends and casual relationships over serious romantic entanglements.

It refers to being surrounded by like-minded people and putting your differences aside. It’s about coming together and joining forces with those who have your best interests at heart.

The focus is on merriment and gaiety rather than monotony and drudgery. It’s on interacting and networking with others, allowing you to push aside some of your more serious concerns — at least for the time being.

It represents people gathering together to connect, interact and socialize. It’s a happy, joyful energy that can manifest as a party or celebration, or it could be as simple as a girls’ night out. There’s a strong sisterhood vibe to this card — as well as most other versions of the Three of Cups — too.

Pay attention to new people coming into your life too. You could find yourself developing friendships with people that seem random at first but can turn into important connections over time.

No matter where the people in your life have come from today — no matter what your connection or history or relationship with them is — the Three of Cups is a card of companionship and camaraderie. It serves as a reminder that there’s always something to be grateful for, and always someone to share your gratitude with.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Jul 18, 2015 — High Priestess

High Priestess

High Priestess

Venus enters Virgo today at 0 degrees, where it will remain for the next two weeks as it slows down and prepares to change direction.

Although this is said to be an uncomfortable placement for Venus — because Venus is traditionally associated with socializing and interacting with others while Virgo is associated with introspection, analysis and autonomy– that doesn’t mean there’s not a valuable or relevant purpose behind this archetype.

The High Priestess — this version from the Morgan Greer Tarot — can be a solitary figure. She can be somewhat “virginal” like the image in this card. But she’s not prudish or inhibited; she’s capable of fulfilling her own emotional needs which sets her apart from others.

The High Priestess encourages you to turn inward and look for deeper meanings in your life; it challenges you to look beneath the surface and find hidden nuggets of information that can help you round out the vast reservoirs of knowledge you already possess.

It speaks of inner wisdom, psychic guidance and a sense of “knowing” even when there is not a factual basis for it. It’s a strong feminine energy — regardless of your gender. Notice the set of Crescent Moons in this card, one at her crown and one beneath her feet. The Moon also moves into Virgo and conjuncts Venus late tonight.

This may be a period of disassociating yourself from superficial relationships and exploring the hidden regions of your own psyche. You may find yourself experiencing profound instances or deja vu or synchronicity as well as psychic visions and spiritual inspiration. These are all associated with the High Priestess energy.

It’s important to embrace these visions and try to understand them, rather than shying away from them. They can bring incredible insights into not only your own personal choices, but also into the direction you need to be heading over the next several weeks.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Jul 7, 2015 — Ace of Pentacles

Ace of Pentacles

Ace of Pentacles

Today is a good day to be counting your blessings and focusing on attracting more of the same into your life.

The Ace of Pentacles — this version from the Morgan Greer Tarot — refers to new opportunities for growth, prosperity and abundance, of which material (financial) gain is only a small part of.

It refers to planting seeds which then grow and flourish, and ultimately begin to propagate and replenish themselves — much like the grape vines framing the scarab on this card.

You want to be focusing on what you have today rather than what you lack. What you’ve invited into your life rather than what you’ve left behind. And what you’re putting out there now, as a means of attracting more of the same.

The Ace of Pentacles — like all Aces — is a card of assurance and inspiration. It’s a “Yes” card, a manifesting card, a card of limitless promise and potential. It’s an essence rather than a “thing,” which means you have a lot of say in how it plays out.

If it’s money you want (or security, stability, comfort, etc.) now is the time to work on attracting more of it into your life.

You may be in line for a raise or promotion, or you could learn of job opportunity that involves a bigger salary. You could also be the benefactor of someone else’s generosity. Either way, you should have more opportunities and more financial resources at your disposal than you’ve had in recent days.

You may also feel that your luck is changing. As the Ace of Pentacles is associated with a positive change in fortune. It’s telling you to keep up the good work, to go after your dreams, and to be open to all that the Universe has to offer you.

But remember that money is called “currency” for a reason: It’s expected to flow, both to us and from us. We need to be willing to put our own resources to use if we want to attract more of the same.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Feb 21, 2015 — The Empress

The Empress

The Empress

Today’s card — the Empress from the  Morgan Greer Tarot — is all about getting in touch nature, with your femininity, your creativity and your fertility.

The Empress is the quintessential Earth Mother archetype. She’s loving and caring yet completely approachable. She’s someone you know you can turn to when you need reassurance or support.

In some ways she represents the perfect woman. She’s strong yet sensitive, loving yet protective, and nurturing yet sensible. If you look at the imagery in the card you can see that the Feminine symbols (lotus blossom, crescent moon, pomegranate and heart) are counterbalanced by the Masculine symbols(the shield, the eagle, the wheat and the cross).

The Empress is less concerned with ambition and success though and more interested in keeping the home fires burning. She surrounds herself with beauty, comfort and love.

Although this may be someone in your life — a mother, sister, a role model, a friend — the qualities she possesses are going to be important for you to embrace today.

Perhaps someone you care about needs comforting or advice. A loved one may reach and ask for help or just a shoulder to cry on. Someone you don’t even know could use a kind word, a smile or a gesture of compassion. These all fall under the realm of the Empress’s domain.

The qualities associated with the Empress card are not gender-specific. They apply to men as well as women. It may be about getting in touch with your inner woman (the anima archetype) or taking on a more nurturing role in your personal relationships. It may also be about exploring a different kind of fertility: giving birth to a creative project or a body of work.

Whatever role you’re taking on today — whether you’re caring for another or getting in touch with your femininity in other ways, know that it’s going to be less about the mark you make on the outer world and more about tending to the world you’re creating at home.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Feb 6, 2015 — Two of Pentacles

Two of Pentacles

Two of Pentacles

Today’s opposition pits the Sun (your ego, will, and life-force energy) against Jupiter (the planet tied to growth, expansion and personal evolution). You may be torn between these two opposing forces or you may be feeling the urge to heed the call of both.

The figure in this card — from the Morgan Greer Tarot — appears to be leaning in both directions. One on side — with his heart — he leans toward travel and adventure (Jupiter). The sea, the boat, the wind in his hair and a longing to immerse himself into the turbulent realm of emotions.

On the other side — with his head — a flock of seagulls rise and take flight. These are symbols of logic, intellect, higher mind and learning. Mind over matter. Head over heart.

While one of the giant pentacles he holds in his hands appears heavier, it’s really just an illusion — you can see that the coins are attached to one another in a lemniscate formation, illustrating the ebb and flow of one’s decisions, values and desires. As one comes up the other moves down, in an infinite and never-ending cycle.

Your job today should be to recognize these imbalances as much as it is to right them. In fact righting them will probably be secondary.

With all of the activity going on around you today (much like all of the motion in the background of this card) you want to stay on your toes. You want to remain adaptable, agile and observant. Giving into the call of one desire without neglecting the call of another should be foremost on your list.

The idea is to be alert enough to remain aware of your surroundings and flexible enough to immerse yourself in them fully. Although there are bound to be distractions and demands on your time, the Two of Pentacles says you have it in you to stay centered and attend to your obligations by pulling those opposing forces together and striking a balance between them.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Jan 26, 2015 — The Devil

The Devil

The Devil

It’s going to be important today to examine all of your emotional reactions — particularly the baser, more difficult to acknowledge reactions, like anger, resentment, jealousy and fear.

The Devil card refers to the areas in our lives where each of us are limited or imprisoned by those reactions. Sometimes it can manifest as lashing out or projecting shadow material onto others. And sometimes it can manifest as self-harm, such as indulging in drugs or other self-defeating behaviors.

In the end it’s really about giving up control through a desperate attempt to maintain it. The Devil in this card — from the Morgan Greer Tarot — is a sinister satanic-looking goat-demon (Baphomet) with sharp fangs and piercing yellow eyes.

An inverted gold star (representing evil and malice) and a candle burning down to the quick are seated above his head. I loved what Avia Venefica had to say about the fly, which is basically a reference to the negativity we feed upon as well as the pesky little annoyances that interfere with our ability to achieve enlightenment.

The diminishing light from the candle’s flame reminds me of one of the greatest dangers inherent in this card. It’s the lack of clarity and insight that leads to our own undoing. And as most our negative emotions are rooted in fear, keeping that light burning is essential.

As Venus, Uranus and Pluto all come together today in a set of uncomfortable aspects, you might need to look at the ways you’ve given up your own personal power. It could be physical — as in an involvement in an unbalanced or dysfunctional relationship — or it could be psychological — as in being consumed by unhealthy emotions.

Whatever it is, know that the Devil card is here to remind you that only you can reclaim your power. You can liberate yourself from the chains that bind you only if you’re brave enough to face them first.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Jan 6, 2015 — Knight of Cups

Knight of Cups

 Knight of Cups

Today you may encounter someone who inspires you to open up your heart and express your true feelings without fear or censure.

This could be an individual in your life (male or female) or it could describe qualities that you yourself need to develop. Qualities like love, affection, romance, and emotional expression.

The Knight of Cups, while not exactly the proverbial Knight in Shining Armor, does have a certain romantic sweep-you-off-your-feet vibe. He’s ardent and passionate with a lot to say and a colorful way of saying it.

He may be “in love with love,” in which case he’s apt to be better at the hearts and flowers aspects of romance than he is at the nitty gritty.

There is a bit of a dramatic flair associated with this Knight. He can be chivalrous and gallant when he needs to be. Or when the mood calls for a softer approach he can be sensitive, caring and kind.

If this is someone in your life, you will know him by his charm, sensitivity, and emotional availability. He may be a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces) or he may just possess those same sensitivities.

He wears his heart on his sleeve and has no problem expressing feelings. He may reach out across the miles or send messages of love and affection from afar.

You may be thinking about going off on an adventure yourself; if so don’t be surprised if it includes romance. Alternately you may be planning a trip on your own, getting away from it all, or heading off into the wild blue yonder yourself.

Whatever you decide, pay attention to the messages you send and receive. With a boatload of sextiles among harmonious planets today you can expect these types of communications to flow with ease.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 29, 2014 — Seven of Cups

Seven of Cups

Seven of Cups

A day of many choices and none of them all too clear!

Mercury is semi-square Neptune today which means there you possibly be experiencing a bit of confusion when it comes to straight thinking.

Mercury planet of communication coming into this aspect with Neptune can turn everything on its head pretty quickly.

If you have important decisions to make today is not the day to do so. Do not feel pressured into giving answers that you do not have and don’t be pushed into a course of action you are not happy with.

The image on this card conjures up many different avenues you can take. Do you choice the mask, the snake, the serpent, etc?

There is no clear line of thinking in what you should do even on the image of the card. It is as if you have been given all these choices with no logic to back up what you will decide to do.

The Seven of Cups is a card of confusion. This confusion may be what you are experiencing but often it is a situation bought about by someone close to you who is not acting as they “should” and giving you are lot of problems because you are waiting for them to act.

If this is the case your best course of action may be to go your own merry way and not wait around for them to decide.

Give yourself a few days to see your way clear on what you wish to do next and remember don’t wait for someone who is causing you confusion and messing you around to come up with the answers you are searching for.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Dec 9, 2014 — Ten of Cups

Ten of Cups

Ten of Cups

Today is a good day for counting your blessings and knowing that you’ve come by to a place in your life where you’re aware of what (and whom) truly matters most.

The Ten of Cups tells you that you’ve achieved something worth acknowledging and celebrating, as seen here in the imagery of this card.

The Ten of Cups is all about fulfillment and security; a solid foundation of abundance and prosperity, and the sense that you have built something you can take pride in.

This extends well beyond financial or material security. It’s more about family, lasting friendships and a comfort — in your home and your community — surrounded by people you love.

In this version of the card we see two strong arms — a man’s and a woman’s — lifting a golden chalice up in a show of harmony and unity.

A colorful rainbow pours into the chalice, while nine more cups are lined up like a staircase behind them, reminding us of the steps that have been taken to lead us to where we are today.

The landscape behind them is serene and peaceful, with lush verdant hillsides and trees. Even the surface of the water is calm..

The Ten of Cups is all about embracing all you’ve established through your connections and interactions with others. It’s about happiness and security in the areas that matter most — with family, friends and loved ones.

This is not the time to think about what is lacking in your life but rather what makes it complete. And while you don’t want to be resting on your laurels, it’s important to acknowledge those who are most important to you and who keep your cup continuously full.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Nov 4, 2014 — Queen of Pentacles

Queen of Pentacles

Queen of Pentacles

Today you may be thinking about ways to establish security for yourself and your loved ones. This means financial security first and foremost, but ties into other areas of your life as well.

Building a solid foundation in your relationships for example. Making sure you’re where you need to be with your education and professional credentials. Fortifying your relationships with family and friends.

The Queen of Pentacles is all about security and longevity. She appreciates the finer things in life and is not afraid to work for them. But she also wants to see returns on her efforts — material and otherwise.

This Queen is not a pushover. She stands firm in her convictions and does what it takes to achieve her goals. As a strong, solid practical business woman, she’s probably weighed all her options before she’s made a move.

This could be a person in your life or it could refer to qualities that you need to incorporate into your own personality.

The Queen of Pentacles is practical and efficient. She also tends to move a little more slowly, for two reasons. One, she knows from experience that practical choices are more likely to pay off than get rich schemes in the end.  And Two, she wants to savor the life she’s built rather than scrambling to earn her next buck without taking the time to appreciate her gains.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Aug 26, 2014 — Five of Cups

Five of Cups

Five of Cups

Venus squares Saturn today and this means tensions whether this be in your love life or life in general it affects you emotionally.

You may wish to look at what you have lost and what you actually perceive as being lost for as this card shows you may be so focused on the fallout of something, the 3 cups overturned, that you are not seeing the potential which is around you, the 2 cups still standing.

If you think you are about to lose something or someone from your life which would then make it more difficult for you to feel as though you were on “firm” ground take heart that things may not necessarily be as bad as you think.

There is a certain amount of grief and grieving in this image hence the black robe.

There is also a bittersweet sense of anger or heated emotions bringing this grief about and from the red liquid running from the 3 fallen cups. It suggests that it would not be a good thing for you to blindly leap in and try to fix the situation immediately as emotions are still running high.

Try turning your thoughts from what is going on. Remember the 2 cups are still standing which means that all is not lost there is still hope but it may require patience and a different state of mind for you to actually see your way clear to what you need to do next.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Aug 16, 2014 — Ace of Swords

Ace of Swords

Ace of Swords

If there is something you need to tackle today make sure you have your facts straight. The Ace of Swords denotes thoughts, mental agility and the use of this in your life.

It may be that you are trying to decide something and need to weight up both sides of your decision to see what options you have or it may be that you are “hit” with a new idea or thought and want to get it off the ground before the momentum leaves.

Either way this is a great day to flex your mental agility and perhaps put some of it to the test.

If there is anything you have been putting off that requires concentration on your part then you may find that today this concentration comes more easily to you.

You may be quite surprised with what you come up with as the image of the sword in this card looks so solid and stable.

As it cuts its way through the crown you can see there are two different versions of greenery being shown.

On the left is a rather bushy branch with small white flowers and a red rose whilst on the right is a frond with a white rose which basically covers a lot of plants when you come to think of it.
