There you stand so grand and tall with all around you that you could ever need but what has it “cost” you?

Notice the shield you are standing on did you get to the position you are in from pushing you way up the ranks to the top of your field as this image implies.

Perhaps you are thinking of a career change or doing something differently to make money just now and if this is the case you also need to look at your motives in why you are doing so.

Will it be a job, career or occupation you love? Something you can pour your heart into?

Or are you just taking this path because you need the money and it pays well?

Doing something which pays well but brings you no happiness or satisfaction can be mind numbing after a while and you don’t want to be stuck like that for long.

There is a fair degree of growth around for you just now as can be seen in the green flowing robes and you also have the power to wield that growth in any direction you wish it to go hence the object in your right hand which looks remarkably like a wand.

The moat around the castle in the background shows that you have already worked long and hard for what you have and are willing to protect it in any way you can.

Three of Cups

With Mercury retrograde conjunct Venus today it is not a good time to get your wires crossed.

Usually the Three of Cups stands for merriment, celebration and having a good time however this image paints a different story and you may find that what you do today could come back to bite you in the future.

It seems as if someone is not showing their true colours and possibly hiding behind a false persona. They may talk the talk and look good in your eyes but it is really a mask that hides who they truly are. Do not be fooled.

For this reason you may like to stick to social situations that you know and are comfortable with alongside friends that can back you up if you get into any problems. Better the devil you know… as the saying goes.

This is not the day to be partaking of too much alcohol. It is the day you need to keep your wits about you and not go following your heart but, rather, follow you head with any suspicious murmurings that little voice is tell you. You may be more on the mark than you think.

In short even though Mercury is conjunct Venus today which is usually a great sign for love because Mercury is retrograde the truth of a situation is not quite as transparent as you may think.

Four of Wands

This is a day of relaxing, rejoicing and counting the blessings that surround you.

The Four of Wands is often portrayed as a joyous celebration, a gathering, a reward or surprise — the affirmation that all of your hard work has paid off and is now worthy of being celebrated.

In this version there are definite symbols of merriment and wonder: the singing birds, the ringing bells, the vibrant colors,and the glowing aura that envelopes the woman as she lifts her face to the sun.

But there’s also emphasis here on gratitude and contentment; the satisfaction that comes from being at one with the Universe, in harmony with yourself and your surroundings.

You may have been so caught up in accomplishing your goals that you haven’t had time to appreciate the progress you’ve made.

The Four of Wands says it’s ok to give yourself a chance to take a breather. It’s ok to stop and smell the flowers.

It’s ok to step back and admire all of your efforts, knowing that they continue to gather momentum and will keep on keeping on even if you decide to take a break.

Energy is high today as the Sun sextiles Mars and allows for a freedom that you may not have felt recently.

Any correspondence or communications you need to catch up on can go a bit more smoothly today even with Mercury retrograde as it is.

You seem to have a spring in your step and a devil may care attitude that anything you do today can be accomplished.

This is throughout all aspect of your life. From the round coin shapes under your feet to the love hearts you are about to land on… it’s all like frosting on the cake and there for your pleasure.

If there is a situation that has been making your nervous and ill at ease to the point that you want to escape it but don’t know the best way to go about it then today you may just find yourself throwing caution to the wind and just moving on.

Nothing is going to hold you back. The Knight of Wands tells you that everything you want to achieve today is yours for the taking. The sky is the limit — you just need to give it everything you have as you reach for your goals.

You have the energy and intention today to do anything… even if it may not be what others want you to do.

Two of Mirrors

Everything is going smoothly today… life is just drifting by and you with it.

With Venus conjunct the node and sextile Jupiter it is as if nothing can bother your or get in your way of the peace and happiness you feel. There is nothing wrong with this and whilst you are in your own little world you can actually accomplish a lot.

If you have been having problems with your partner then today is the day to plan something together as the planets are smiling down on you to do so.

From the looks of this image though you may want to make your time together low key and not spend it around other people. This is a day about togetherness and strengthening the bonds you share.

It is not the day to go out and join others unless you have a point to make by showing solidarity because today you surely will be showing the strength of your solidarity together.

Notice as the swan’s heads come together and they gaze into each other’s eyes the posture forms the formation of a heart alongside their hearts meeting and joining together at the base of their chests.

This is something you can use to your advantage today and even if you have no one in your life and are single perhaps it is time you looked at yourself in the mirror and repeated all of your best qualities to the reflection you find there.

Seven of Pentacles

You could be feeling frustrated today over something that’s taking longer to manifest than you’d hoped for. While the urge to push ahead anyway and move things at a faster pace will be strong, the Seven of Pentacles encourages you to do otherwise.

It says it’s time to step back, test the waters, and assess the progress you’ve already made before you plan your next move.

It’s about getting your ducks in a row and taking the time to finesse your plans before you act on them — even if you’re tempted to push forward prematurely.

In this version of the card we see a little witch figure standing before a tree under the light of a New Moon. Perhaps she needs some of the tree’s life essence to cast a spell. But she pokes at it with her wand and draws blood.

We can see all seven pentacles growing on the limbs of the tree, but there are no leaves and no flowers: they too are not quite ripe for the picking.

There’s a sense with this card that it’s just not time; she’s just not ready; and there are still preparations to be made.

Think about the things in your own life that need still need time to develop and mature.

It could be a promotion that feels like it’s taking too long to materialize. It could be a relationship that’s not moving forward as quickly as you’d like. Or you may be just feeling frustrated with the pace things are moving in your day to day life.

There is a taste of fate in the air today as the Sun conjuncts the north node.

It may be time for you to sit back and put all your well laid plans into action and if you need help ask for it. You have the ability and strength to get anything done and you may find you don’t even know yourself as you begin the tasks that need doing.

The dragon in this image implies a mythical creature. It also implies you will brook no interference and heaven help anyone who crosses you today.

I’m not saying they don’t deserve your wrath as you are on a mission and this seems to be the day you will use to do what needs doing.

You have an eye out for trouble and at the same time are guarding that which is yours. If you have been worried that someone is possibly going to steal one of your ideas or that you need to secure that which you own then take the steps necessary to do so.

You might also wish to think about what the word “fate” means to you. Does it mean you just blindly go along in your life and take what life deals out to you or does it mean you have a say in your life and can use your will power to manipulate an outcome.

The Sun conjunct the north node today will bring these thoughts into your mind… fate versus free will and from the image of this dragon I don’t see you taking anything you don’t like or want laying down.

Three of Swords

Today — with the planet of love (Venus) in opposition to the planet of upheaval (Uranus), you may be reeling from an emotional upset that’s left you feeling abandoned or rejected.

The Three of Swords refers to a shock to the system brought about by the realization that something must come to an end. It’s not an easy card, nor is the experience it refers to something that anyone looks forward to going through.

But it’s a necessary experience, in the sense that it’s the culmination of a loss that’s been building for some time.

Even though it can feel like a shock to the system, chances are good that you’ve sensed something was on the horizon anyway and are just now having to deal with the backlash.

In this version of the card, we see a shabby paper heart stuck to a tree by three puny swords. The tree itself doesn’t look to be in good shape — even though the leaves are green, they’re drying up and falling to the ground.

The Three of Swords in general refers to feelings of sadness, loneliness, suffering and pain.The classic interpretation involves a breakup: something (or someone) has been lost that cannot be regained. It can also refer to unrequited love, the loss of a friendship, or the realization that something you’d hoped for is just not going to manifest.

Six of Swords

Have you been thinking of going on a journey? Planning it in your mind but for some reason putting it off or not wanting to go.

The Six of Swords shows you have a path laid out before you that you may not wish to take. Instead you may feel as if you wish to stick with the safe and comfortable route you are already taking with your life.

Often times when we are meant to change something but are resistant to it the thoughts and ideas we have will keep popping into our minds urging us on towards this change.

The Sun and Jupiter are in sextile today, making way for both clear thinking and a desire to be on the move. This transit can make you feel hopeful and optimistic for the future. It can serve as a beacon to guide in the right direction, even if the reasons are not yet clear.

Your unconscious will find a way to place synchronicities within your path until you finally get the message that you must change in order to grow.

In this card it looks as if you have help on the way where you may find you don’t need to do a lot yourself as you will be swept up and gently guided onto your next step. This is another feature of the Sun / Jupiter aspect, made all the more pronounced as Mercury eases into Libra.

There is a fair degree of self love around for you today together with the urge to take care of yourself and spoil yourself a bit.

The Empress is all given. She is the card of the mother figure, nurturer and caretaker.

If you find yourself worn out from taking care of others and giving too much of yourself then today is about self love and pampering. Let everyone come to you for a change and if they want something gently yet firmly put yourself first and let them know this

The bright hues of pink also show love around for you and the bird curled up at your feet could be the making of a beautiful swan about to emerge.

Right now it is sleeping just as you may be to the changes you can put into effect that give you more control and power over what you do with your life.

Soon it will awake and when it does just think what a lovely sight it will be greeted with.

The Empress is also a card of fertility and as can be seen here new growths of plants spurt forth towards the heavens behind you suggesting that new thought patterns will get you to where you wish to be in your life.

The sun is shining and a waterfall feeds into your emotions giving you plenty to think about and at the same time doesn’t cause too many upsets.

The Moon

There’s a full moon lunar eclipse today in Aries which is also happening very close to the unpredictable planet Uranus.

Although there is a lot going on with the eclipse it seems you just want to hide away and be by yourself without anyone around you except your own thoughts and emotions for company.

If you find this is the case then take a good look at this image because you look a bit “blue” and not too sure of yourself or what is going on around you.

The water (emotions) is so still you can see your reflection perfectly in it yet you are not looking at yourself you are looking straight ahead, without movement, without wanting to upset the balance of what is before you… and without seeing the necessity to scan your surroundings for any threats.

The skulls in the water eerily reflect below the water’s surface giving them the impression of beautiful shell like structures and an indication that what is actually around for you cannot be seen on the surface but is far deeper than you or anyone else may suspect.

It is almost as if the past is coming back to haunt you right when you don’t want it too.

If you find yourself in this situation today, especially with a full moon eclipse in Aries conjunct Uranus you may find it difficult to remain as clear and cool headed as you wish.

Five of Swords

Are you caught in a battle of words with another person? Such as a quarrel that has gone too far and neither of you want to be the first to admit they are wrong?

With Sun opposite Uranus today this is exactly the kind of situation you could find yourself in. You will have to keep your temper in check and not let anyone else push your buttons.

If you are not careful you may lose the other person from your life. If you are involved in any legal matters then be sure you have all your facts correct and indeed have all the relevant facts of the matter to hand.

The Five of Swords often indicates a situation where someone is not playing fair. If this is the case with you, remember you don’t have to stick around.

Notice the man in the card with the sword raised high in his hands, ready to cut off from the matter, take his losses and leave.

Walking away is always better than engaging in confrontations, especially in this case as there are no winners.

This is a card about words and intellect (as shown by the swords). Often our words can wound another person emotionally and we do not realize we have done so.
