Princess of Wands

Princess of Wands

With Venus and Jupiter coming together today in the last degrees of Leo, it’s a good time to work on shedding your inhibitions and taking the world by storm.

The Venus / Jupiter conjunction increases confidence, passion and vitality. It emphasizes action and adventure. It speaks of seizing the day and going after your dreams like the Princess of Wands (the Thoth Tarot’s version of the Page of Wands) in this card.

The Princess of Wands is passionate, confident and adventurous. She’s not afraid to put herself out there and show the rest of the world what she’s made of. She’s enthusiastic and eager to make things happen.

There’s a fiery, impassioned energy about her, as well as a sort of reckless abandon. She may not always think things through; she’s more interested in getting things moving than seeing them through to fruition. Because of this, it may not be the best time to commit to long-term projects or goals.

It’s a great time for brainstorming, inventing and creating — and not so great for launching a project that is not yet fully formed.

As with all of the Court cards, this may be someone in your life or it may relate to qualities that are going to be important for you to embrace. If it’s someone in your life — such as a headstrong and rebellious teenager or a temperamental partner — you’ll have to rise up and meet them on their own turf in order to balance out that energy.

The Princess of Wands can motivate and inspire you in your own life too. Ask yourself in what areas have you been too timid or uncertain, and how might incorporating some of her passion and bravery into your own life work to your advantage?

Free Daily Tarotscope — Jun 18, 2015 — Page of Bows

Page of Bows

Page of Bows

Today’s card is the Stoat (or Page of Bows), which is the Wildwood Tarot’s version of the Page of Wands. This is a ferret-like creature that is prized for its Winter coat — pure white (save for the black portion of its tail) in some Northern regions — and despised for its invasive practices in others.

Here he looks out from a moss-covered outcropping, alert and attentive and ready to pounce if necessary. Like the Page of Wands, the Stoat is ready for action and fast on his feet.

He’s a predator but also somewhat defenseless. He’s just as capable of being someone else’s dinner as he is of capturing his own, hence the need for impeccable reflexes.

But the Page of Bows is wily. He has a multitude of options available to him. He can pounce from his perch onto the ground below; he can scurry up a tree, he can stretch his limber little body out and slink off into the bushes, or he can shimmy down a hole never to be seen again.

This is the kind of flexibility you wan to have today as you are met with various challenges. You want to think about all of the resources that are available to you. And you want to think about what it is you can do that makes you unique. What skills do you possess that make it easier for you to avert danger and take advantage of opportunity?

Mercury trines the North node today and sextiles the South. This transit can make communicating your needs to others a bit easier, while at the same time allowing access to strategies and solutions. You may seem harmless, like the adorable little Stoat in this card. But remember that you do have a vast array of options at your disposal for getting what you want today. in exactly the way that you want it.

Princess of Wands

Today is a good day to be alive! It’s a day for trusting your instincts, pursuing your passions and reveling in the spirit of adventure.

The Princess of Wands (the Druid Craft Tarot’s version of the Page of Wands) — is all about seizing the moment and embracing your experiences with every fiber of your being.

The Princess of Wands is passionate, confident and adventurous. She’s not afraid to put herself out there and show the rest of the world what she’s made of. She’s enthusiastic and eager to make things happen. She may not always think things through though; she’s more interested in getting things moving than seeing them through to fruition.

Like all of the Pages in the tarot, there’s the promise of a wide open road ahead of you. A world of possibilities that have yet to be discovered. And unlimited resources for you to tap into.

There’s a fiery, impassioned energy about this Princess of Wands. She stands poised and ready to go, with her vibrant garb, tossled hair and imposing staff all testaments to her dynamic presence. There’s a sense of being on the verge of starting something new and exciting today— even if you don’t know yet exactly what that is.

As Mars and Jupiter come together today (in trine, or 120° aspect), the urge to make things happen is pronounced. This aspect can also open doors and clear away obstacles that might otherwise obstruct you from achieving your desires.

Keep in mind though that there’s a sort of reckless abandon associated with the Princess of Wands, and as such it’s probably not the best time to commit to long-term projects or goals. It’s a great time for brain-storming, inventing and creating — and not so great for launching a project that is not yet fully formed. Use this time to tap into your creative potential and save the business of accomplishing something big for another day.

Princess of Staves

Princess of Staves

The Princess of Staves — from the gorgeous Lover’s Path Tarot — is this deck’s version of the Page of Wands.

All of the Pages are Princesses in this deck, and this one — Brünnhilde — is one of the boldest, most dynamic and courageous of all. She was a Valkyrie, one of Odin’s servants, a fiery and rebellious messenger goddess who defied his directives and was imprisoned in a ring of fire as a result.

You can see the flames that rise up and threaten to engulf her, but does she slow down or cower in fear? No she charges on after her goal — more determined than ever.

The Princess of Staves has a mind of her own and the fearlessness that so often accompanies it. She knows what she wants and goes after it without regard for the consequences.

Keep in mind though that the Princess of Staves can motivate and inspire you in your own life.  Ask yourself in what areas have you been too timid or uncertain, and how might incorporating some of her passion and bravery into your own life work to your advantage?

The Princess of Staves is spirited and adventuresome. Embracing those qualities and allowing yourself to be inspired by her fearless energy can go a long ways toward helping you to manifest your dreams.

As Mercury enters Sagittarius today you may feel a sense of freedom with your thoughts and words. Sometimes this is good and other times it is a bit risky… especially if you don’t think before you speak.

From the image on this card you can see that there is the distinct risk that you may say something without curtailing the way it comes out of your mouth.

Even though the bird’s beak is closed the flames that lick around the feathers show there is energy that is trapped within… and energy has to go somewhere unless you are very good at dissipating it.

The tree stump suggests that the issue you are wishing to speak on has no end in sight or that the matter is a closed as far as others are concerned. Nevertheless, it seems you are keeping an eye on when you can bring it up again.

Just as the sun rises this matter has not been put to rest in your mind or thoughts.

If you are expecting news today may be the day you receive it. It is a great day to pick up your thoughts and start to feed some positivity in your life.

Learning something new may take on a new meaning for you today and if you have any feelers to put out there on a course you are interested in then the rolling hills that you are surveying from high up will show you, if any, problems you may encounter.

It doesn’t look as if you will though as you are sitting pretty high above the petty, mundane problems of everyday life today and are ready to launch yourself into something new and exciting.

Today, with Mercury and Jupiter coming together in Leo you should be feeling more creative, enthusiastic, energetic and alive. The Page of Wands combines the fearlessness, restlessness and impulsivity of the Page with the fiery, dynamic, passionate energy associated with the Wands (or Fire) element.

This card is about racing toward your goals with the sort of fierce determination that propels you toward the finish line. There’s no conserving your energy or plodding along methodically when it comes to the Page of Wands. It’s all go go go and get it done now!

You may be rushing toward a deadline, scrambling to outsmart your competitors or planning an adventure — but even in that case there’s little planning involved. It’s more about chasing after your goals and striking while the iron is hot.

In this version of the card we meet the Greek god Phrixus, charging toward Colchis on his golden ram as he races to outrun his assassins. He raises his wand triumphantly in one hand and guides the ram towards his destination with the other.

This is the essence of the Page of Wands. It represents the urge to get the ball rolling, make things happen, and fearlessly go after your goals without worrying about consequences or pitfalls.

Mercury moves into Aries today so be ready to wash aside all of the miscommunications, frustrations and slowness that you may have experienced over the last few months, especially given that Mercury was retrograde during part of that time.

Mercury in Aries is fast, direct, impatient and does not have time to think through all the in’s and out’s of everything.

This is a time about “thinking on your feet”, coming up with answers from the “top of your head” and generally listening to yourself in every which way that matters… even the wrong ways.

The Page of Wands is a card of news.  Now it may be a letter, email, phone call you are waiting for which is of importance to you and heralds forth a new idea or path in your life.  Whatever it is Wands denote that it happens quickly and with the Page of Wands you may wish to think more carefully about what you will do with the information when it does come.

Look a the way the rabbit in this card walks with a certain attitude that it cares for nothing else but the importance of itself and its own ideas.  It is not worried about where it is going or where it has come from.  What matters most is what it is thinking and where these thoughts can take it.

Today you should be feeling a mixture of anticipation, enthusiasm and inspiration as you open your eyes to a brand new perspective and see the world as your playground.

The Page of Wands card denotes a sort of reckless abandon — being open and willing to embrace all that the Universe has to offer, while at the same time not wanting to be tied down.

If you look at the imagery in this card, you see a lush green field filled with wildflowers and butterflies. The butterflies playfully flit from flower to flower, ensuring their propagation.

The tree leans toward the Sun, basking in its glow. Even the mountains in the distance are lush and fertile.

There’s a Joie de vivre aspect to the Page of Wands card. This is a more free-spirited and untethered energy. There’s a sense of being on the verge of something new and exciting — even if you can’t put your finger on exactly what that is.

ARIES: The Moon

This month you may feel like you’re navigating through murky waters.

The Moon card has a lot to do with that which is hidden, beneath the surface, unconscious or undiscovered.

There is a strong emotional element inherent in this card. And while emotions are not something easily digested by Aries — particularly the “darker” emotions, such as fear, anxiety and insecurity — it’s necessary to explore them if you’re going to resolve the issues that have been hounding you.

But don’t let your imagination run away with you: there’s also some danger of reading too much into things, making mountains out of mole hills or even becoming suspicious or paranoid.

Use this time to get in touch with your emotions and to resolve whatever fears and uncertainties you have that have been holding you back.
