ARIES: Three of Cups

This month — with several planets moving in and out of your sign — you’re hopefully going to be feeling more fully in your element. This should be a time of renewed opportunities to connect (or reconnect) with loved ones.

The Three of Cups — this version from the wonderful Morgan Greer Tarot — is a joyful and festive card that emphasizes partying and celebrating over work and responsibilities. It also emphasizes friends and casual relationships over serious romantic entanglements.

It refers to being surrounded by like-minded people and putting your differences aside. It’s about coming together and joining forces with those who have your best interests at heart.

The focus is on merriment and gaiety rather than monotony and drudgery. It’s on interacting and networking with others, allowing you to push aside some of your more serious concerns — at least for the time being.

It represents people gathering together to connect, interact and socialize. It’s a happy, joyful energy that can manifest as a party or celebration, or it could be as simple as a girls’ night out.

Tarot of the Zirkus Mägi -- Two of Buckets

ARIES: Two of Buckets

Your focus this month is going to be on love, romance and relationships. The Two of Buckets is the Tarot of the Zirkus Mägi’s version of the Two of Cups. It’s called “Love” in some versions and “Harmony” in this one.

It speaks of finding your soul mate, your better half, your “one true love.” It’s the card associated with male / female, yin / yang energy and the concept of opposites attracting.

It’s about a love so perfect that the two become one, making it nearly impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins. But true love takes on many forms. And it’s often marred by things like fear, jealousy, tension, uncertainty and sex.

And here we see none of these. We see a bond that’s so intimate and affectionate between a young child and her elephant friend. She leans in with a loving embrace and he responds as only an elephant friend would. He sits there patiently and contentedly, with his own offering of love in his trunk.

Jupiter is now in your relationship house, asserting a renewed sense of romantic idealism, as well as an openness to finding the sort of love that belies status quo expectations.

The New Moon also having taken place in this sector promotes the ideal of “self-love.” And what better way to manifest that energy than to see it mirrored back to you in its purest form?

If you’re thinking about diving back into the relationship arena this month, you’d do well to take a leaf from this unlikely pair’s book. Whether you’re in an established relationship now or just looking, holding yourself up to this kind of ideal can only benefit you in the end.

Four of Cups

ARIES: Four of Cups

This month you may feel like you are in a world of your own making and not willing to come out of it for anyone or anything.

No matter how good an offer is that is made to you you prefer to stay within your own little world and not make any plans or moves just yet. The Four of Cups — this version from the fabulous Ceccoli Tarot — is about boredom, melancholy and complacency, all of which are aptly depicted here.

This is not a bad place to be as it gives you time to sit back and survey and contemplate what is around for you and also as you are making yourself scarce from others, it inadvertently puts you in a position where you can perhaps command more than you have received in the past.

You actually know what you want. Notice you have your eyes on the nautilus shell (or is it a snail’s shell?) which is at the moment beyond your reach.

You may have desired this for a long time and not known how to attain it. If there is something in your life that you have been wanting for a long time and it has not shown up use this month to come up with ways to bring it into your life.

The bubble that you sit in shows that you are quite happy where you are but you may need to upset that balance, for a while anyway, to actually make your dreams come true.

Eight of Wands

ARIES: Eight of Wands

You may have so much on your plate this month that it feels like “rush rush rush” for you as you scramble to get things accomplished.

The Eight of Wands — this version from the beautiful Crystal Visions Tarot — is all about action, progress and momentum. It’s about getting things done and making things happen.

It may be as simple as ticking off all the little things on your to-do list, and it may be as significant as making great headway on an important project.

While it might feel to you like there just aren’t enough hours in the day, you could be surprised when the month is over to see how much you really accomplished.

The Eight of Wands is a high energy card and also sometimes refers to travel. In that respect it relates to being literally and physically on the go. Are you planning a weekend getaway? Use this extra energy to make preparations for your trip.

Look at the Eight Unicorns galloping down the canyon on this card. They’re raring to go and although not all of them are moving in the same direction, they’ all appear to know exactly where they’re going.

Mars (your ruler) is now moving through Sagittarius, which works very well with this energy: both the imagery of “wild horses” and the idea of travel. And while it will be turning retrograde later in the month, you won’t want to be sitting home and letting your thoughts gather dust.

Now is the time to make sure your get up and go actually goes somewhere — whether that means tackling a mountain of chores or heading off on an exciting new adventure.

Ace of Cups

ARIES: Ace of Cups

This month’s card — the Ace of Cups from the Secret Language of Birds Tarot — is all about romance, affection, flirtation, intimacy, communion and most of all love.

Aces represent new and unformed energy. As Cups refer to emotions, intuition and feelings, it’s likely to manifest on one of these levels.

It’s all about seeing your capacity to love and express feelings mirrored right back to you — through a new love interest, a friend or family member, or the eyes of a child.

You may be starting a new relationship or expressing yourself romantically — whether or not a serious relationship develops from that flirtation. As with all Aces, the energy is so new and so unformed that a myriad of possibilities is completely within your reach.

The process of falling in love reveals to you your purest, most perfect potential. It’s when you put your best foot forward and show the world what you’re capable of — and the Universe responds in kind.

If you’re already in an established relationship, the Ace of Cups can refer to a renewal of affection and passion. It can represent a renewal, a more “formal” commitment or the onset of a new chapter in your relationship.

Just like Alcyone’s movement from the last degree of one sign into the first degree of the next, you can replicate this energy by seeing the Ace of Cups as an opportunity to take things to the next level in your relationship as well.

Eight of Wands

Eight of Wands

Today’s Sun / Mercury conjunction can have you thinking about which direction you want to go and how you want to go about making your next move.

You may be feeling more decisive about putting your plans into action and striking while the iron is hot.

The Eight of Wands — this version from Robin Ator’s Prairie Tarot — is all about declaring your intentions and be purposeful about your goals. It speaks of consolidating your efforts and moving ahead.

Notice that all of the pencils in this card are pointed in the same direction. They may be different sizes and colors, but they’re lined up and pointing in one (forward) direction. This indicates both clarity and purity of intention.

The Eight of Wands is a high energy card that represents a highly focused sense of action and activity. It’s all about progress, efficiency and momentum. It’s about getting things done and making things happen.

It may be as simple as ticking off all the little things on your to-do list, and it may be as significant as making great headway on an important project.

And while it might feel to you like there just aren’t enough hours in the day, you could be surprised when it’s over at how much you really accomplished. The Eight of Wands can also refer to travel. Free Daily Tarotscope — Oct 10, 2015 — Eight of Nature

Eight of Nature

Eight of Nature

The Moon’s North Node moves into Virgo today, for the first time in around 19 years. Because the Nodes are always in polarity with one another, this moves the South Node into Pisces.

One potential manifestation for the Nodes moving into Virgo / Pisces is a collective shift in consciousness toward toward service to others, which begins with an understanding of ourselves. As in where we fit in in the world as mirrored through our own perceptions.

The Moon’s Nodes are naturally retrograde, which means they move backwards (or counter-clockwise) through the zodiac. There’s emphasis on clearing up past life karma through this retrograde motion, and creating new karma in the process.

The Eight of Nature card is the Tarot of Origins version of the Eight of Wands. This version focuses less (way less) on the movement and activity usually seen in the Eight of Wands and more on introspection and soul searching.

There are also elements here of history, progress and evolution. Notice the man’s face which has been carved into the driftwood. One side has a primate-like appearance and the other depicts the visage of an ancient man. The driftwood curves upwards and branches off in two different directions, one side circling the rising sun and the other off into unknown regions.

The Eight of Wands is known as a messenger card, and notice the tiny blackbird perched on the branch. Is he bringing a message to you or ready to deliver one of your own? The blackbird as an animal totem is tied to consciousness, the higher mind, mystery and magic.

Today is a day for unraveling secrets of your own. Looking back over your past, retracing your heritage, and thinking about the steps that have been taken to lead you to where you are today. Pay attention to messages you receive during this time and be mindful of those you send out to others.

Eight of Wands

 Eight of Wands

If you’ve been waiting to hear from someone — or expecting to receive news from afar, changes are good you’ll receive your answer today.

The Eight of Wands — this version from Anna Klaffinger’s gorgeous Anna K. Tarot — represents a message that is coming your way. And while the woman in this card is clearly happy to receive her message, it’s not necessarily good news.

Today’s Saturn square Mercury says it may actually be a let down or disappointment. It may not be something you want to hear. But the gloved figure delivering the message — and the red ribboned presentation — says it is going to be important.

There are other prominent “messenger” transits today: Mercury is also conjunct Venus and Mars trines Saturn.

The Mercury / Venus conjunction generally is good news, or at the very least a diplomatic way of handling it. But keep in mind that Venus is still squaring Saturn which can put a damper on even the best of news. The Mars / Saturn transit offers a positive means for dealing with any setbacks or problems that arise.

Your goal today should be to be prepared for any messages that come your way — whether these are delivered in a literal or figurative form. How you respond to them and the steps you take upon receiving them will go a long ways toward determining your next steps.

ARIES: Justice

This month you may find it necessary to make decisions that are fair and just — without regard your personal leanings. The Justice card refers to a conscious awareness of cause and effect, action and consequence, right and wrong.

It may be a situation that you’re personally involved in, such as a relationship that tugs at your heartstrings but is not in alignment with your principles. Or you may be asked to mediate a disagreement among friends. It’s not about choosing sides. It’s about being able to tap into the “truth” objectively and impartially.

In this version of the card — from the Sun & Moon Tarot — a butterfly girl hovers in the sky behind a scale. She strives to maintain her balance using the blade of her giant sword. A flaming heart is weighed against a single white feather in the scales.

A yin / yang symbol is at the top of the scales and the Hebrew letter “tet” is at the base. Among other things, the tet  symbol refers to wisdom and truth.

The Justice card speaks of balancing head against heart and desire against logic. While we all strive to keep these areas in sync, it’s a constant and precarious battle.

Sometimes the heart rules and sometimes it’s the head. But if you rise above the situation (like the girl in the card) you’ll be better equipped to achieve perspective. Sometimes we have to get some altitude in order to see things from outside of our earthly attachments.

The Justice card encourages you to seek the answers to your most pressing concerns through objectivity and conscious awareness. If you rely too much on head, heart will suffers and vice versa. But if you can find a way to balance the two, the truth will reveal itself in the end.

Eight of Wands

Eight of Wands

Things may be speeding up for you just now with many things happening all at once and you caught in the middle of it not knowing what to do first.

You may even wish there were more than one of you or an extra set of hands to get all that needs to be accomplished done.

Unexpected news is on the horizon so if you’re waiting for a phone call, email, letter, etc expect it to land in your hands soon.

You may even find there is cause for rejoicing at the news as the Eight of Wands — this version from the beautiful Golden Tarot of Klimt — also implies growth. Be prepared for a change and make sure you are ready for it when it does come.

Ask yourself what is your attitude to change? Do you embrace it or shy away from it?

Do you celebrate the changes in your life and throw yourself into them wholeheartedly or do you shrink away in fear? Do you see the Eight Wands in this card as barriers or do you see them as challenges that need to be vigorously pursued?

The Eight of Wands implies that change is upon you whether you like it or not. You may not even be given any warning it is about to come so you best be ready for anything. Remember there’s always a reason for change — even if the reason is not clear to you now!

The women in this card show the various reactions to the news and changes around them. One looks hesitant whilst two dance in celebration and ready to embrace the changes given to them.

The attitude of the two dancing in celebration is the one you want to adopt. Open your arms (and your heart) to the unknown as there are bound to be blessings awaiting you on the other side!

Eight of Wands

Eight of Wands

Mercury moves into Aries today and Mars moves into Taurus. This may be a bit of a mixed bag for you with your mind (Mercury) racing ahead (Aries) and your body (Mars in Taurus) wanting to slow things down.

The Aries energy is likely to win out though — with six planets in fire signs and the Sun conjuncting the Aries south node.

As March winds down and we move into April we bring you the Eight of Wands — this version from Charissa Dresden’s  Steampunk Tarot — and a gorgeous array of sunny parasols.

The Eight of Wands is a high energy card that represents a highly focused sense of action and activity. It’s not without distraction: you may find that you have too much going on or too many interests and have to figure out where to direct your attention.

You may also find that you’ve got so much on your plate that you feel the need to rush as you scramble to get things accomplished.

The Eight of Wands is all about action, progress and momentum.

In that respect it relates to being literally and physically on the go. Are you planning a weekend getaway? Use this extra energy to make preparations for your trip.

Keep in mind though that the all this fiery energy can be impatient and therefore somewhat reckless. You want to stay alert and pay attention to your environment if you do end up making travel plans.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Feb 9, 2015 — Eight of Wands

8 of Wands

Eight of Wands

Things are moving quickly for you today, which means that you may have a full schedule ahead of you even before you walk out the door.

You’ll have to stay on you toes if you want to get anything accomplished — like the woman in this card — from the beautiful Paulina Tarot.

You also want to stay focused: otherwise you run the risk of being pulled in several different directions or going off on a wild goose chase that distracts you from your original goals.

Notice the Eight Wands are all moving in the same direction and the butterflies flapping their wings to guide them along. This is the essence of the Eight of Wands. Staying focused and present; aligning yourself with the activity going on around you so that you become a part of it rather than fighting against it.

There’s a a sense of progress and swiftness in this card, as if to say “things are happening, and they’re happening NOW.”

The Eight of Wands also a card of communications. Networking and sharing ideas. Hearing and being heard.

This is important because it may feel like certain relationships are up in the air for you today -– especially those where differences of opinion have caused them to stall them in their tracks.

This card speaks of not only communicating effectively, but also clearing the air and getting back in sync with those you may have had differences with. It can also refer to travel or messages that come (in the form of good news) from afar.

You may feel a bit overwhelmed; like you’ve got places to go and people to see, and not enough hours in the day. But as long as you stay focused today you can get a lot accomplished.
