High Priestess

The High Priestess

As the Sun trines Neptune today, you may be feeling more sensitive, more intuitive, and more aligned with the inner-workings of your psyche.

This transit can bring in psychic impressions, such as astral travel, lucid dreams or déjà vu experiences. While that may be a bit unnerving for you at first it can open up doors for you that you never dreamed possible.

The High Priestess is a strong feminine energy — regardless of your gender. It speaks of intuition, perception and wisdom, and all the secrets of the universe unveiled.

In this version of the card we see repeated themes of timelessness and esoterica. There’s a photo of a Victorian-era woman laid across a set of ancient sky maps.

A spiraled time-piece — stretching out to infinity — and a crooked wand are also present. But most prominent of all is the High Priestess’ all-knowing gaze.

She is both young and old, embodying both innocence and wisdom. She is the keeper of secrets, knowledge and mystery.

You may be getting more in touch with your own intuition, or thinking about delving into the mystery schools — learning tarot, astrology, numerology, etc. Or you may find yourself experiencing profound instances or deja vu or synchronicity.

October 2014 Tarot Scopes featuring the 78 Tarot

Aries:  Five of Swords

If you rush into something too quickly this month you may find that it comes back to bite you.

Think of what your Achilles heel is and keep an eye on it because it may not only be you who is affected. Someone will have your back and you need to be aware that your actions do not only affect you but others also.

If you find yourself at odds within a situation do not come out fighting because if you do you may find you have done exactly what the other person wanted all along and as there is total balance in this image you don’t want to go rocking any boats to put yourself at a disadvantage.

It may be that you are on the verge of leaving a relationship, a job or simply have had enough of your life at present and want to throw it all in and start something new.

However, what you do not need is action that is not well thought out… rather you need a plan.

With an eclipse in your sign on the 8th and Mercury retrograde for a large part of the month it will be difficult to see the woods from the trees but if you can imagine glimpses of your wishes coming into reality then you get the idea of what you need to do and why it is so important to hold off for the time being.

The High Priestess is a strong feminine energy — regardless of your gender. It speaks of feminine strength and wisdom and all the secrets of the universe unveiled.

We see the Priestess in this card standing before the esoteric symbols of an astrological chart, with the glowing orb of the full moon at before her. It appears to be hovering in mid-air while she gazes into it, divining her / your / our future.

She is both young and old, embodying both innocence and wisdom at once. A lunar goddess rests in the crescent of another moon behind her.

You may be getting more in touch with your own intuition, or thinking about delving into the mystery schools — learning tarot, astrology, numerology, etc. Or you may find yourself experiencing profound instances or deja vu or synchronicity.

You may also be experiencing bursts of creativity and inspiration.  Another possibility, one that comes unexpectedly, is a sudden onset of clairvoyance or psychic impressions.

High Priestess

High Priestess

Today as Mars trines Neptune, you may feel the need to step away from all the hustle and bustle of the outside world and retreat to your own private sanctuary.

The High Priestess represents intuition, serenity and wisdom. She encourages you to seek guidance from within and to heed your inner voice. In this respect you may need to find your place of quiet and solitude in order to best access her messages.

The High Priestess in this card steps out under the night sky from behind a veiled canopy. She stands between the moon and stars to commune with the magical creatures and night-blooming lilies in her garden.

Notice how she strains to extract the symbols from the ethers around her. The impressions she receives are not always be easy to decipher. The High Priestess is wise and perceptive but even she has to make sense of all the messages she receives.

Like the High Priestess in this card, you may need to make time for quiet reflection and introspection. The Mars / Neptune aspect is harmonious in nature. But it’s still Neptune. There’s still the potential for getting your wires crossed.

Getting away and communing with nature or going on a spiritual retreat are both good options. But just taking time to quiet your mind can also help you to satisfy these leanings.

July 2014 Tarot Scopes featuring the Tarot of the Zirkus Magi

Tarot of the Zirkus Magi -- the Lovers

ARIES: The Lovers

Relationships and relationship issues are going to be hands down the biggest area of focus for you this month.

That doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. But what it does mean — with Mars (your ruler) moving through your relationship sector and in hard aspect to both Pluto and Uranus — is that it should be “interesting” at the very least.

The Lovers card brings all of your relationship issues to the forefront. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. It refers to decisions that must be made — sometimes between two lovers, and sometimes between love and something else — as well as all the temptations, fixations and complications that are a part of that elusive and intoxicating mystery we call Love.

If you’re dealing with challenges in your own relationship, it may just be a matter of getting out of your own way. You don’t want to be creating problems where there are none to begin with. If you’re just now discovering that Love is not all it’s cracked up to be, join the crowd. You would do well though to put your own needs, expectations and agendas aside.

Check out the figures in this card. Who would have thought the Clown and the Bearded Lady could portray such a fantastic representation of Love? Yet all the pieces are there. The comfort, the closeness, the intimacy — even the whole world fading into the background behind them — are all beautifully rendered here. The angel statue blesses their union from above and who are we to question it?

High Priestess

High Priestess

As the cycle of the full moon is upon us today together with an eclipse it is time to go within yourself and call upon your intuitive gifts to assist you in getting what you want.

You don’t need to force anything as the card of the High Priestess is not about force, rather, it is about delving deep within yourself and aligning your own higher power to use in manifesting the life you desire.

Notice how the woman sits on the earth for grounding, leaning against the tree for nourishment while she turns her head towards the sky, although not quite high enough to see the moon as it reaches its state of fullness.

She holds within her hand the moon depicted at the beginning of its cycle which occurred about 2 weeks ago in the sign of Gemini… a sign known for its quick thinking and mental agility.

Today’s full moon eclipse occurs in the sign of Libra, another air sign possessing the qualities of balance and fairness and it is within these qualities that you can turn in order to draw on your strength to accomplish that which you desire.

The High Priestess is a card of knowledge specifically drawn upon from esoteric teachings.

April 2014 Tarot Scopes featuring the Dream Raven Tarot

ARIES: Queen of Wands

You may look calm and peaceful on the outside as if you hold the secret to the pyramids within you and could endure anything.

But just look at those flames flickering at the end of each wing… almost as if you are ready to “take off” or launch into a blazing mood which comes from nowhere.

This is a time to sit back and weigh up your options without the distraction of others and what they think, say or do.

Keep your own counsel and act accordingly with what is right for you. You have your eye on the outcome and know how to achieve it.

Notice how the bird in this card keeps her eye on the dragonfly… she is not about to let anything get in her way or dissuade her from the course she has chosen.

You have the energy within you to make your dreams come true… wish wisely and don’t waste your time and energy on the mundane.

March 2014 Tarot Scopes featuring the Dreaming Way Tarot

march tarotscopes -- judgment

ARIES: Judgment

This month you’ll be thinking about how the actions and decisions you’ve made have led you to where you are today.

The Judgment card can refer to a moment of “reckoning” where all the pieces of the puzzle start to come together and you see how you’ve participated — for better or worse — in the story of your life.

With this comes two very important considerations: one — that you can take charge and make changes in your life (as in rewriting your own script) and two — that you can view other people’s choices (which have led them to their own life circumstances) with a little less judgment and a lot more compassion and understanding.

The Judgment card refers to an epiphany or awakening, during which time you realize the consequences of your actions and are thus more inclined to proceed conscientiously.

As such it gives you a chance to start anew, to be “reborn” and make changes that are in line with your understanding of karmic rewards and repercussions. It gives you a chance to redeem and unburden yourself, as you prepare to let go of the past and move toward your true life’s purpose.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Feb 6, 2014 — the High Priestess

High Priestess

Today you may be given cause to delve into the deepest regions of your psyche, where instinct, perception and intuition all reside. The High Priestess — seen in this version as the goddess Persephone — is a dynamic, mystical force that relies on harnessing inner knowledge and wisdom.

Persephone started her descent into the Underworld as a frightened and lonely girl, dragged into the darkness against her will. But here we see her transformed from the fearful child and into her rightful position as Queen.

She stands between two pillars (one black and one white) as guardian of both worlds — with a pomegranate in one hand and bouquet of narcissus flowers in the other.

Each of the these symbols reflect important stages in her journey, as well as the dual forces of nature that are implicit in this card.

The High Priestess refers to getting in touch with your intuition. Listening to your inner voice. Heeding your psychic impressions. And tapping into the vast reservoir of wisdom that you may not have taken the time to nurture in recent months.

While you may be apprehensive about exploring those realms, the answers to your most pressing concerns are right there at your psychic fingertips, if you only you allow yourself to trust in them.

September 2013 Tarot Scopes featuring the Archeon Tarot

Seven of Swords

ARIES: The Seven of Swords — like all sevens — speaks of difficult choices and moral dilemmas. There are temptations disguised as opportunities, which could turn out to be more than you bargained for in the end.

In this rendition, we see a raven perched before the light of a full moon, a glowing sun time-piece dangling from his beak. A legend is told in Native American traditions of a snow white bird who steals the sun and moon and places them in the night sky. The sun is so hot that it chars his white feathers, rendering them permanently black.

There are four swords piercing the moon and three penetrating the earth below it. As the moon represents mystery, illusion and the depths of the human psyche, we can see this as a need to penetrate the veil that obscures our motivations.  We’re reminded that all that glitters is not gold, that there are consequences for our actions. The concept of time is also relevant here, as in keeping track of time, not wasting time, and making time for things that are most important.

There are elements of mischief, trickery and even thievery in this card, You may be tempted to engage in practices that are not aligned with your principles. Or you may be the recipient of someone else’s duplicity. But these same elements can be used to your benefit. The seven of swords represents skill and ingenuity as well. You must have a sharp mind and a vigilant approach if you’re to navigate through some of the obstacles before you. Opportunities come your way, but there’s always a catch. Just like the raven whose cunning and prowess has rewarded him with the fiery sun, but whose feathers have become permanently charred in the process.

July 2013 Tarot Scopes — featuring the Tarot of Trees

ARIES: The Moon

This month you may feel like you’re navigating through murky waters.

The Moon card has a lot to do with that which is hidden, beneath the surface, unconscious or undiscovered.

There is a strong emotional element inherent in this card. And while emotions are not something easily digested by Aries — particularly the “darker” emotions, such as fear, anxiety and insecurity — it’s necessary to explore them if you’re going to resolve the issues that have been hounding you.

But don’t let your imagination run away with you: there’s also some danger of reading too much into things, making mountains out of mole hills or even becoming suspicious or paranoid.

Use this time to get in touch with your emotions and to resolve whatever fears and uncertainties you have that have been holding you back.

March 2013 Tarot Scopes featuring the Mythic Tarot

ARIES: Nine of Swords

You may be tossing and turning in your sleep this month; stressing over concerns that seem to have no resolution.

This card speaks of our tendencies to magnify problems, often making them out to be worse than they are.

You’ll need to learn to step back from intrusive thoughts and fears before they escalate into full-on panic. This doesn’t mean you should ignore your problems: that may be what’s gotten you into your predicament in the first place.

You’ll have to confront your fears head-on if you’re ever going to conquer them. You may have to look at where you’ve made mountains out of molehills or have been your own worst enemy.

You may have contributed to your problems, as responsibilities that have been avoided could very well be coming back to haunt you now. But it’s also important to forgive yourself for past mistakes and work on putting them behind you.
